Ruins of summer camp for childrens in Rovegno (Genoa - Liguria -Italy)

It's mate is nowhere to be found. It now leads a lonely life. Soon to be reburied under a fresh batch of autumn leaves.

Notice the young virginia creeper plant, which may cover this area within a few years.

This boot was one of mine. Bronco brand. Bought in the Jamesway sometime in '82. I'll guess they were about $20.00

Pumpkincam II Has become moldy enough to warrant family protest over it's staying in the refrigerator any longer!

So, for it's last glorious image-making effort,, it is making a solargraph as it decays. As the pumpkin collapses in rot, it will bend the film plane, hopefully making for an interesting image. Perhaps it will also secrete moldy pumpkin juices on the film plane. I just hope the extra gaffers tape, and the aluminum foil dome over the lid will help prevent too many light leaks as the pumpkin shrivels and shrinks.

I will keep an eye on it- perhaps this solargraph will go only a few days......

This abandoned one room schoolhouse sits next to a grain bin on Liberty School Road.

The area is remote wheat country, so i imagine farmers sent kids here from miles around for their reading, writing, and arithmetic.

West of Ruggs in Eastern Oregon.

This should look just as familiar. Alcove to the right where the card board cutouts stood with the free Odeon magazine. Three doors leading to the various screens.

This place was so amazing to see, it reminded me of a scene out of a video game with its grey tones and dirt and decay.

Taken for Assignment52 - 'Decay'

Original sketch for Waste Lands, A4 paper (210 × 297 mm).

The main character walks alone in the environment and watches a world where changes just happens in the decay direction.

I was trying to depict a scene lost in a century that could be XVIII, XIX or XX. However, the scenario turns a bit in the apocalyptic direction: it could be related to a great war as well as a dystopian nightmarish future.

Graffiti and decay from the Squirrel Cage historic jail in Council Bluffs, Iowa. These aren't great photos, but the subject matter is interesting:

The patented design allowed one jailer to rotate the entire, three-story cylinder (and all its prisoners) around in a circle using just a hand crank. The jail held 63 prisoners who could not leave their cells unless their cell was cranked around to the doorway. Built in 1885 for about $30,000, safety concerns eventually led the jail to be modified away from the original rotary configuration. The county quit using the jail altogether in the 1960s.

Most of the barns in this remote country have collasped years ago, but this abandoned barn is still holding on.

The corral once held a few livestock and the roof has some wear holes. A few traces of snow remain on it

Crewe Heritage centre..........The museum is located between the junction to Chester and the West Coast Main Line, in the old LMS railway yard which was once part of Crewe Works. There are three signal boxes including the large, all electrically operated Crewe North Junction signal box, which the public can operate and look around. There is also an extensive miniature railway with steam, diesel and electric traction. Brake Van rides are available to the public during special events and galas. The most prominent exhibit of the museum is the BR Class 370 APT, which is open to the public and includes a number of exhibits associated with the APT and models. The Main Exhibition Hall features many artefacts and exhibits associated with Crewe from its locomotive and carriage construction, and famous junction railway station. A cylinder and Caprotti valve gear from BR Standard Class 8 4-6-2 Pacific, no. 71000 'Duke of Gloucester', which was constructed at Crewe Works in 1954 is also on display. The prototype of the Bentley Continental GT motor car, which was launched in 2003, and built at the nearby Bentley Motor Works in Crewe, is on display.

Beautiful ripped and decaying posters at King's Cross station, Victoria line section.

Never really gotten a vibrant shot of this place. This one is moreso a gimmick with the distortion

I like the colors of this decayed tree stump.

I genuinely need to understand more about how structures decay. Especially bricks. The 500-year-old baroque bricks in Turin really puzzle me in the idiosyncratic ways that they come apart
