This is the top of a paper clip, less than 1 x 1 inch.

I actually used this object last year, when the theme was 'Rust'.

Left it outside another year, which didn't make it shinier.

Wonder what it will look like next year?

I don't know what kind of pest is devouring these leaves, but they look to be made of tattered lace.

This was a very nice castle somewhere in Portugal..

1 week later some local youth broke into it and wrecked the whole place.. :(

Savona, Palazzo Della Rovere.

Immaginatelo quando era nel pieno del suo fulgore ai tempi in cui Giuliano Della Rovere, prima di diventare papa Giulio II, lo fece costruire nella sua città natale in cui era tornato in un periodo per lui negativo a Roma (fine XV secolo).

In stile rinascimentale, continuava l'opera di rinnovamento di Savona iniziata da suo zio Francesco Della Rovere (papa Sisto IV).

Il progetto, che voleva coinvolgere atre parti del centro storico, subì un arresto quando Giuliano lasciò Savona per rientrare trionfalmente a Roma e divenire papa.

Nel 1673 il palazzo venne adibito a convento delle Rev.me Clarisse, per questo è anche noto come Palazzo Santa Chiara.

Nel recente passato è stato sede del Tribunale prima e della Questura poi. Dopo di allora il nulla, solo degrado e abbandono, per molti anni.

Nel dicembre del 2014, dopo che l’immobile è passato dalla proprietà demaniale a quella comunale, l’amministrazione di allora decise di riaprire almeno il cortile dello stabile, per riconsegnare al pubblico quel collegamento pedonale tra via Pia e via Aonzo che i più giovani non avevano neppure mai visto.

Così, sopra la storica pavimentazione in basoli, anche se non perfettamente conservata, fu steso inopinatamente un tappeto di asfalto, si disse una soluzione temporanea, vedremo per quanto, i lavori seri dovevano iniziare subito dopo e terminare nel 2022, ma per ora tutto è fermo.

This pine was leaning over Prairie Valley in Summerland. It is an agricultural area that supports vineyards, livestock, orchards, hay farms, wineries, berry farms and a small amount of mixed farming. It's also a pleasant area for bike riding.

One from cropton forest, North Yorkshire. Spending 11 days here over Christmas this year and can't wait. Fingers crossed for more conditions like this
