The beautiful & abandoned Château Wolvenhof. Now I've seen some castles, and I've seen some staircases, but this baby just says class.
First visit failed (winter 2008), second visit payed off (summer 2009), showing the original interior state of the castle. Not a single broken window.
Rapidly fading. Rapidly aging. For the times they are a changing.
Low tide in the Cumberland Basin just outside Bristol's Floating Harbour. The exposed mud catching the light and contrasting with the decaying pier.
hosta leaves...from green to gold, and wonderful translucence...taken 2 days ago on a mild day...snow and ice coming today: yesterday out-of-town....long drive in a lot of rain...now, back to the grindstone.... and a safe day and good weekend to all !
Bodie Ghost Town, eastern Sierras, California.
A photographer's playground, Bodie is full of gems like this. A pieces and parts of an old car in front of a decaying house in a desert landscape. Worth a visit.
The Ludlowville Union School is left to the elements. We can monitor its decay since it isn't being torn down or rebuilt. It is most visible in winter, no leaves block the view.

Yes. I got i brainwave today! I got my new internet connection working! I had KPN they promised me 20MBp real was 13 MBp. Know i got ZIGGO. Promised 30 MBp. Real speed 28,5 MBp. It was my own fault that i could not connect. Bad reading, i need glasses (LOL). So i am back! Goodbye KPN!
BEAUTY IN DECAY - , these are just different plants, milkweed, leaves, etc that I gathered in the Fall for photographing. They were at the point where they were falling apart and crumbling. I took this last image before throwing them out. The picture was taken while zooming in over 3.2 seconds and a delayed flash to shoot at the end of the exposure. I thought this had an Art type feeling to it and was worth posting.
The vegetation growing on the roof is not a good sign. It looks like this was a nice little building at one time. That looks like a walk up service window on the front side. Maybe the place was an eatery at one time ?
The structure and texture of these cacti intrique me. I like the silver light at dusk. Hardy plants but maybe the sun just gets too much for them...or the lack of rain.
