chevy 6400 farm truck, only had IPhone 5s, but could not pass up

A run down and decaying building in Downtown Providence, Rhode Island.

I missed these Upright Coral Fungus (Ramaria stricta) this year, they were decaying to this brown blackness. but they had these cool white tips. I didn't notice the mites on them until I got the photos home.

I did an 11 photo stack with hugin for alignment and gimp for touchups. raw files edited with rawtherapee.

The Malecón (officially Avenida de Maceo) is a broad esplanade, roadway and seawall which stretches for 8 km (5 miles) along the coast in Havana, Cuba, from the mouth of Havana Harbor in Old Havana, along the north side of the Centro Habana neighborhood, ending in the Vedado neighbourhood.

For me it was the only completely over-rated part of the city...

Just how I like it..

Went for a walk around Langstone Harbour, Hampshire yesterday evening looking for a new spot to capture the sunset and came across these decaying wooden post which I believe were part of the remains of the Billy Line Railway that used to operate between mainland at Havant & Hayling Island.

A strong westerly wind was blowing and dark low level clouds so not good conditions for sunset images so I decided to try a long exposure using the Lee Big Stopper ND filter and create a misty white water effect!

75 second exposure using Lee 10 stop Big Stopper + 0.9 ND grad Filter over the sky.

An alcoholic strolls amongst decaying banana trees in a remote part of Isaan, Thailand. The vast majority of rural Isaan is rife with alcoholism due to a lack of employment opportunities. A non-existent support system and very little social infrastructure compound the problem.

Saturday Self-Challenge: Decay

Old Volunteer Fire Department truck. Now out of commission, just slowly collecting rust and waiting for further decay. I did notice that there is still air in the tires but I don't think the truck has moved in several years.

My wife recently planted these flowers in a rusty old planter we have in our backyard .... and this solitary fellow decided to give me a perfect pose against the decaying exterior.
