The Salvation Army (aka, donations via you and me) ...
helps more than 6 million people each year with food, clothing, and toys ...
And that is ONLY during the Holidays!
[[[Editor's Note: It is conceded that the Salvation Army has been in the news lately for various issues ... THIS entry is in by no means
connected to that issue in any degree;
merely a Blythe FUN photo, for entertainment purposes only, and encouraging any sort of volunteering to help the less fortunate whenever possible ... any time of the year! <3 ]]]

Seeing into the depths of space, the moons of Jupiter, the rings of Saturn, Mars, the Great Orion Nebula, or as in this case, sunspots on our own star Sol, the Sun is always Awe inspiring. Sharing that with a young aspiring astronomer, doubly so.
To see the sunspots takes a special telescope. In this case a Personal Solar Telescope, which has lenses and filters that make viewing the sun directly safe.
This is a dessert from Bratislava, Slovakia: nuts and hazelnuts with a lot of honey....it's a killer diet but so delicius! Anyway I have to improve my food photography skills XD
Nothing special to report about today.
I would like to thank for all your comments, especially for those constructive!
And I also want to apologize if I don't visit you..usually I use my phone to login in and I can't see all them.
Have a nice evening!

Going back to the basics and finishing some BeyondLayers classes that I never did. I used Kim Klassen's texture "canvasback" and her quote brush in this lesson on framing using PSE.
I've spotted this single body in motion out here on the ice most mornings this week. A steady figure 8, with no perceivable end goal beyond clearing the head and getting out, in the months that would drive us Northerner folks nuts if we didn't.
You know - the same reason there's this strange parka-clad woman creeping around in the shrubs with her camera most mornings.
We all get through January in our own ways.
Shot for Macro Mondays theme "Reflections".
Some rose pepper on a mirror lit from the left with a YongNou Speedlite YN467.
Button Down: Banana Republic
Sweater: Ann Taylor
Necklace: Charlotte Russe
Skirt: ModCloth
Tights: No idea
Socks: Target
Boots: MIA
I've been saying this sweater was from Express, but apparently I was wrong. I have no recollection of buying it at Ann Taylor, so it must have been ages ago!

stuff
Handwarmers; knit by me to my own design in Morris 4ply wool

Shot on iPhone 5.
When you shoot with an iPhone every day, you get used to it's ability to take pictures you might not expect a smartphone to be able to do. But I was please with this one I took at the dog park this morning. It's droplets of rain on a blade of grass. You can even see the jagged edges of the blade if you look closely. I've shot water droplets on a iPhone 4 back in my 365:2011 but I was impressed with the abilities of my iPhone 5 today.
i miss my old limber, flexible self!
coaching inspires me to be flexy once again...so i thought I'd try to track some 'split' improvement. We'll see how they look in a few weeks.

October Challenge Day 21
Today was the final rehearsal before the big concert on saturday. On this hot and humid day I wore Vogue 8511 OOP. This dress was one of my first makes, after I startde sewing again.
Actually I`m sitting here with a jogging trouser and a RTW cardigan, because it has cooled down after a thunderstorm.
Weather:
16-28°C hot and humid
Day 21! Oh, what fun! I got to take a run on the back of a motorcycle, in the sun!
"I still don't know what I was waiting for
And my time was running wild
A million dead-end streets
Every time I thought I'd got it made
It seemed the taste was not so sweet
So I turned myself to face me
But I've never caught a glimpse
Of how the others must see the faker
I'm much too fast to take that test"
