October Challenge Day 21
She has a low tolerance for being loved on when she's awake, but she is a lap cat. She will imperiously stand on you before settling down and curling up.
The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.

Day 21/365: Charlie was kind enough to drive me around town so I could take some shutter speed photos of the traffic! Love shutter speed - you can be so creative with it and to be honest you can be a kid! Lesson Learned: Shutter Speed offers a lot of opportunities to think out side the box with your creativity! I've been reading a lot about "long exposure" - I'm really hoping to get some sky/water photos in the coming months using long exposure!

I decided to make my own Advent calendar about neo Black Falcon. I hope you will enjoy during 24 days ! Today, a Black Falcon knight.
MMM14 Day 21. Wearing a silk twill skirt made from a Vogue dress pattern (V1174), and again, this is a pattern I've used again and again as it works in many different fabrics. In the background is Sydney, seen from the promenade leading to Sydney Opera House. If you'd like to read more about the skirt, there's a link to the original blog post in my MMM days 19-25 blog post <a href="http://www.upsewlate.blogspot.com"
wearing: vintage shirt which buttons up the back, from $1 trunk at hidden treasures in topanga canyon; skirt made in korea, thrifted in ventura, ca; lacy beige tights from nordstrom's; green suede wedge heels from macy's after xmas sale last yesr; rhinestone clip-ons, gift from teja

This was SO much fun!! Amazing what you can do with bubbles, a highlighter and a blacklight! VERY cool project! I will be doing this again with more colors next time! Be prepared for a speckled glowing face and lots of laughter when you try it!! :0)

Don't let looks deceive you - this is as different to my yesterday's shot as night and day. By which I mean that yesterday was tiny tennis players at night and this is tiny tennis player at day. If you're really observant you can see they have changed gender too - these are women, yesterday they were men. Well, these women weren't men obviously - I'm sure they test for that. So, went to the Aus Open again today - great tennis and it was super hot. Victorian weather is such a mystery.
I'm not going to tennis tomorrow so I know I definitely won't have a hat trick of tiny tennis players. Also, I was doing well keeping up on comments on the road trip but have fallen behind in the last day - I'll be a better flickr mate again soon.
Struggled for inspiration today with the crystal ball, so a quick snapshot.
Hopefully, the inspiration will return tomorrow !
I woke up early with a coughing child, so glad to see todays challenge is QUICK! I finished this in just under 30 minutes - the most time-consuming part was getting my printer to take the cardstock. Any suggestions for great printers? Well, must get ready for work and little dude prepped for pre-school. This is a record on early morning finishes for me - TFL!
The photo was monotone reds...and softly focused. It was a challenging photo to work with. But once I got started it was so enjoyable. I left the threads hanging were they were to become part of the texture of the portrait.
Don't think I made it with this one - just a little after midnight here. This is actually kind of a boring story about how I challenged the measurement on my dog and got her to jump at a lower height in AKC agility.....yawn. Still, I love the photo and making the big title was fun. Love my PSE! Photo by Pat Randall.

My monthly shot of the same location....a day late. Just didn't have time yesterday to walk over the park to snap this.
My Mum is being kept in hospital over the weekend and they will assess her again on Monday, but they are talking about putting her into a care home rather than letting her return home. We'll cross that bridge when we get to it, as I know my Dad doesn't want that to happen.
