I discovered this date at the spillway at Joe's Lake. I rubbed some dirt on it and brushed off the excess and scraped the area with the stone to make it more visible. in April 1947 the pond backed up to an apple orchard, today the Lake View housing development.
The Dead Sea Scrolls are written documents that date from the 3rd century BC to the 1st AD. They contain some of the oldest-known copies of biblical books, as well as hymns, prayers, and other important writings. Most of the writings are in old Hebrew but there are also Aramaic, Greek and Nabataean texts among them.
The majority of the scrolls are of leather parchment, some of papyrus, and only one is an inscribed copper sheet. This one and only Copper Scroll is made of 99% copper metal and dates from the 1st century AD. It now has its own special climate controlled display at The Jordan Museum.
All of the Dead Sea Scrolls on display in the special room at The Jordan Museum come from archaeological excavations, which were carried out at a time when the West Bank (including the site) was part of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Honestly I'm not that familiar with Marilyn Monroe. So I'm not entirely sure which famous outfit this one is based off of. Regardless, it still captures that Marilyn feel. It is definitely not the same dress design as that featured on my "The Seven Year Itch" Barbie. I'm sure some parents would probably be upset that MGA made a tot doll based on such a "sexy" celebrity. But personally I don't take L.O.L.s (or any dolls really) seriously. They are just that...dolls. They are little plastic figurines that are meant to be absurd and to spark kids' imaginations. The color of Leading Baby's dress is interesting. It's almost a bit transparent, but you can't actually see her body through it. In sharp contrast, her shoes and sunglasses are this hot red color! Her coffee cup on the other hand is more muted with a silver lid. I do wish MGA had varied their Series 1 cup designs more, but I suppose this was such a new line that they hadn't quite expanded the creativity like they did for later collections.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I think part of why I don't notice this Cloe as much as her other In the Wild counterparts is because her outfit isn't quite my taste, I will say that it flatters Cloe's blonde hair. But I prefer Jade's ensemble the most. I think these leopard leggings are just up Cloe's alley. Of all the members from the Bratz pack, she seems to prefer animal print the most. Whether it is cow, zebra, leopard, etc, Cloe tends to have animal print worked into her outfits. This top is so long and loose on the bottom, that it almost looks like a dress. A tall Bratz doll could not get away with wearing it by itself, because of their super long spaghetti legs. But on a conventionally sized Bratz doll, it could definitely dual as a dress of sorts. I think that Cloe's animal might be my favorite, simply because my dad always loved tigers. All of the zoo animals from this collection are super cute though, what with their huge sweet eyes! Cloe's shoes are the perfect fit for this ensemble. I like that they have molded fur on the cuffs. In that way, they look like fancy work boots! This is definitely one of my preferred boot molds from this time frame!

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I was excited to see this little Chip pillow when we received the "Christmas Miracles Lot" in 2019. This was a group of dolls that our relative, Ray, had rescued from the trash at the local transfer station. Somehow, he even managed to pull various accessories, stashed in a pencil box, out of the compactor. It was in this case that we found a handful of awesome, functional dolly accessories. But neither Colleen nor I was certain what the purpose of this pillow was. Colleen was the one who suggested that perhaps it was sold with a Disney doll. I remembered my Dream Princess Belle and decided to compare it to her original contents. Lo and behold, we had found my poor "Disney Store Bin" Belle a piece of her original belongings! While her outfit would have been more handy, this pillow was still vastly appreciated. Plus, it is super adorable and would be a great prop for photos!

PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: Ron and Harry from this line come in the same outfit. Hermione's is basically the same as theirs only with a skirt, socks, and Mary Janes instead of slacks and loafers. I think I like the boy version of the uniform even more than the girls' one. I just love the little dress pants! I was really excited about getting Hermione and Ron in such authentic Hogwarts uniforms. The tiny ties (Ron actually had to keep his on in the bath because I couldn't get it over his head) and sweater vests are my favorite feature. This made me want Harry even more. (I got Ron a few weeks before Harry and it just made me think about Harry ALL the time.) Matching Hogwarts uniforms...it's like Harry Potter "Meet" outfits--so classic, so traditional, so basic. I love how basic this line is. I'm not disappointed at all that they were basically repackaged dolls, two of whom wore exactly the same thing and the third wearing half the same as them, half the same as Magical Powers Hermione. I love how simple and versatile they are. This line to me has been iconic and evasive for years. They were like those mythical dolls you never saw in real life and have only seen in internet pictures and stock photos. I honestly wasn't even sure if the line really existed or if it was just one of those things they have stock photos for, but are never released, until I looked on the internet in my late teens or early 20s.
