To date, one of my oldest Flickr colour slide postings, dating from Easter 1971, a capture of Western SMT 1726 (TCS174), a Bristol FLF6G/Eastern Coach Works new in 1962, seen en route in Greenock to Braeside Farm.
My parents had moved from East Yorkshire to just outside Glasgow. I was visiting them for the Easter break, midway through my second year as a student. Scotland was very new and exciting for me, and it was a very different Scotland too back then.
I was using a brand of film at the time whose colour quality quickly faded, but digital tweaking has brought this old image back to life.

These are everyone's favorite bug villains, out on the town. Drury and Tiger are of course having a pleasant evening. Garfield is a little more smitten with his flamethrower than Dragonfly. Poor Eric was informed too late that his date was a criminal, and Silken thinks he's a stick in the mud. Oh well.
I put a big smile on my dates face and managed to turn a few heads also. Great Meal and conversation. With a Extraordinary bottle of Wine! Things only got better and better after that!
