I'd like to wake up every morning with a beautiful day in mind;
Where worries of the day ahead are nothing but fiction;
I'd like to sleep at night with soft, feather-filled pillows;
Where fear of monsters in my closet are nothing but the imagination;
I'd like to travel life with rays of light and flying birds;
Where the darkness of the clouds are eclipsed by the mere idea of hope.

03/25/2020. OK, I am still OK...but the Gravity of the Situation is becoming abundantly Clear (Thank You Vic Chesnutt).
I just stumbled on this video on Youtube doing a live version for Sweet Relief 2. Rest in Peace Vic! You will live forever...as your songs will carry on.

I love Grackles! Though, I should be looking for brightness on a rainy day...I found this...I just liked it...did not make me feel any better about the situation.
NOTE: I MADE SOME ADJUSTMENT TO LEVELS FOR CLARITY...NO CROPPING.

A shot from yesterday morning at moody Seaham of WW1 sculpture Tommy. I went for a really moody and gritty edit . Thanks for looking .
Just before sunset the sun briefly peeked under the clouds to light up the peak of the volcanic palisades by the Rio Grande.

Mother nature gave South Central Nebraska a few days break from the constant rain. I shouldn't complain. We are close to the end of our rainy season. Though... this is Nebraska where we can have severe weather breakout anytime...as this storm cell did.
Late night, early morning cells were moving along a boundary. We only had a 30% chance of storms. Storms there were out in the Nebraska Panhandle died and the reformed about 1:00 am just to the west and northwest of Buffalo County in South Central Nebraska.
This was a photographic beast as I just a few miles to the east of Kearney. I wanted to use the city lights to illuminate the storm as it pushed to the southeast. It simply has got to be my favorite night chase of the year. Close to home and incredible structure!

May i just say to anyone viewing my flicker pages that i am very thankful for all your wonderful comments and favs.
I'm afraid lately i have not had very good flickr etiquette, i really do appreciate your time and effort, but at the moment depending on which device i am viewing on (it can get very confusing "at my age" lol) , i am finding it a little difficult to respond to people who have been kind enough to comment or fav, without what seems like a complexed way of responding.
When i get some time i must sit and study these things, but in the meantime please accept my sincere apologies.
This summer has been unpredictable: the weather has been changing so fast that dark sky and sun rays has been dancing together for months. And I kind liked the contrast.

on my first trip to Iceland I cycled all the way around and cycled up on the north shore of Snæfellsnes towards Stykkishólmur when I saw this little church so peacefully I stopped and waited for more than half an hour until the sun was shining on it, it only lasted for a few minutes but it were wonderful ones

Dark storm clouds loom over a vast green field, creating a dramatic contrast between the sky and the land below. A mix of ominous hues in the clouds suggests an developing wall cloud under this approaching storm, adding intensity to the scene.

Storm Chasing Video from afternoon / evening on Flickr Click Here
Just to the west of Odessa Nebraska...
First few shots of the day as this already severe warned storm was approaching from the northwest of my current location. Got in alignment of where I thought I had the best possible chance for pics & video. An open view with no power lines. Which is rare. Even in Nebraska.
There were actually 2 storm cells. Both were severe warned. I was on the outer boundaries of the western storm. The eastern storm was going to eventually merge with this storm & become one.
The lean or tilt in this storm meant business. Nothing to take away its energy for doing its building process. Rotation was imminent, though question was would this storm produce a tornado?

The sun stubbornly refused to shine apart from around 3 minutes when I managed to grab a few shots!! Lots of very busy workmen today the restoration of a stream being hampered by lots of debris and fallen trees after Storm Doris had a hissy fit yesterday!!!
Get off the bus and I feared I'd get soaked on the long drag up the hill to my hosts, who'd figure all that cloud and not a drop. Walked past this and for a moment there was a shaft of sun, all that white sparkled.
