From the lookout at Pt Elliot, South Australia. Dramatic cloud formations were going by, which I thought were amazing!

Must be the most photographed castle in Scotland -- but just has so much atmosphere

explore # 196

Caribana Parade Aug. 2008, Toronto, Canada

I'd like to wake up every morning with a beautiful day in mind;

Where worries of the day ahead are nothing but fiction;

I'd like to sleep at night with soft, feather-filled pillows;

Where fear of monsters in my closet are nothing but the imagination;

I'd like to travel life with rays of light and flying birds;

Where the darkness of the clouds are eclipsed by the mere idea of hope.

03/25/2020. OK, I am still OK...but the Gravity of the Situation is becoming abundantly Clear (Thank You Vic Chesnutt).

I just stumbled on this video on Youtube doing a live version for Sweet Relief 2. Rest in Peace Vic! You will live forever...as your songs will carry on.

I love Grackles! Though, I should be looking for brightness on a rainy day...I found this...I just liked it...did not make me feel any better about the situation.

NOTE: I MADE SOME ADJUSTMENT TO LEVELS FOR CLARITY...NO CROPPING.

when you're left it too late to take cover and there is no shelter

A shot from yesterday morning at moody Seaham of WW1 sculpture Tommy. I went for a really moody and gritty edit . Thanks for looking .

I took this photo from the parking lot of a local supermarket at 5 pm yesterday afternoon. A series of fierce, damaging thunderstorms struck our region soon after.

Not many chase days in the month of June 2017, as this day turned out way better than expected. You never know what you might encounter on a decent moderate risk day which was mostly on the eastern side of Nebraska and Western Iowa.

These first cells were moving from the north to the south as I encountered them just to the east of Schuyler Nebraska. I didn't have to to travel to western Iowa as all the action stayed in eastern Nebraska that day. It was mostly an HP mess for most of the ride till then.

Some decent structure out in front of this cell, so you know I what I was doing!

The light turned the ocean to silver.

Just before sunset the sun briefly peeked under the clouds to light up the peak of the volcanic palisades by the Rio Grande.

Dark heavy rain clouds at the cliffs of a Lofoten fjord kissed by a few sunrays at sundown.

May i just say to anyone viewing my flicker pages that i am very thankful for all your wonderful comments and favs.

I'm afraid lately i have not had very good flickr etiquette, i really do appreciate your time and effort, but at the moment depending on which device i am viewing on (it can get very confusing "at my age" lol) , i am finding it a little difficult to respond to people who have been kind enough to comment or fav, without what seems like a complexed way of responding.

When i get some time i must sit and study these things, but in the meantime please accept my sincere apologies.

This summer has been unpredictable: the weather has been changing so fast that dark sky and sun rays has been dancing together for months. And I kind liked the contrast.

on my first trip to Iceland I cycled all the way around and cycled up on the north shore of Snæfellsnes towards Stykkishólmur when I saw this little church so peacefully I stopped and waited for more than half an hour until the sun was shining on it, it only lasted for a few minutes but it were wonderful ones

Seascape at sunrise with glittery golden reflections and sun flare.

Cronulla Beach, Sydney

Taken a few months ago, but it's like that now.

Beautiful colors. Love it when the Sky turns red.

Wensleydale, Yorkshire Dales

The sun stubbornly refused to shine apart from around 3 minutes when I managed to grab a few shots!! Lots of very busy workmen today the restoration of a stream being hampered by lots of debris and fallen trees after Storm Doris had a hissy fit yesterday!!!

Get off the bus and I feared I'd get soaked on the long drag up the hill to my hosts, who'd figure all that cloud and not a drop. Walked past this and for a moment there was a shaft of sun, all that white sparkled.

The Long Hot Dawg Days of Summer in Nebraska...Record Heat this year and we all can feel it! Its also been abnormally dry. 2020 was a drought year and 2021 is looking to be the same.

We only had 2 Storms...come though south central Nebraska. But what came through was special and we were on our game to be in the right place at the right time.

Just south of Elm Creek Nebraska. Looking due west, severe warned, rotation was imminent!
