Lush green in the cool morning temperatures were sprinkled with bright flowers just wakening to the sunlight.

This is my favourite time of year when Autumn provides one of natures amazing transformations and if you walk through these woods on a warm sunny day the whole area is filled with that glorious Autumn light and it's one of those experiences that you wish would last for ever. I must have stayed in the woods for at least an hour just absorbing every bit of this magical show and when I left I felt totally refreshed.

Bit of an experiment of weirdness...not sure really but sometimes I like things to not always look as they should do to the minds eye...

This is the house where I spent some part of my childhood with my grandmother (not the one that gave me the bottle of liquor but the other )..I have such sweet memories here, too! When I went to see it two months ago, I was so surprised and delighted to find it renovated ! It looked so charming..

My grandparents used to live mostly on the second floor and the one upstairs from it.

Below is me sitting at the door of the same building ages ago:)

Grand Canyon National Park

The South Rim

Arizona, USA

The Colorado River snakes itself through an eastern stretch of the Canyon under dappled Autumn light.

The Grand Canyon was formed over millions of years by the erosion caused by the Colorado River.

The canyon is more than 200 miles long 12 miles wide and a mile deep. The national park is visited by about 6 million people a year. On a clear day, like this one, it is possible to see for 100 miles and the distance across to the North Rim seems to shrink.

There are always visitors at the South Rim of the park, but during the winter season, it is possible to find overlooks with few or no other visitors. One can find a sense of serenity when viewing a scene like this especially when viewing it alone.

A lovely garter snake taking in some warm autumn rays. At first he was fleeing from me, but I reassured him I meant him no harm. So he stopped and let me take a bunch of pictures. When I moved on, he was still there, relaxing.

I've been watching a pair of nesting Mute Swans for a couple of weeks now, eagerly anticipating the arrival of their Cygnets.

It's actually how I came across the Bluebell woodland I've posted recently.

I'm looking forward to when they hatch. Hoping for some nice family photos.

Here's a couple of the female tending to the nest for now.

The Londonist:

"Tower Hamlets Cemetery is unlike its Magnificent Seven brethren. Despite being set up by some of the wealthiest men of the Victorian era, it's not crawling with celebrity and extravagance like Highgate or Kensal Green. Tower Hamlets Cemetery instead functioned as a burial ground for London's working classes. It quickly filled and ceased as a functioning cemetery in 1966, but still remains a cemetery park"

A lovely spot to have some tea or coffee:)

Hello, It's been a while since I've posted on any platform, but the recent springtime conditions have inspired me to get back out there again. Here is a panorama with some afternoon dappled light on really green hills and a rainbow. My favorite everything.

Happy Friday!

Thanks for looking.

I've been reviewing some of my drone shots and footage from this summer and I have to say I think the summer of 2023 was probably one of my all time favorites in my area. This particular morning the marine layer was extremely high with the mountain tops barely showing through. High above the marine layer was a beautiful monsoon cloud deck allowing the sun to spotlight the coastal mountain range. The movie footage I captured was pretty special.

Decided to leave in the footprints as they were part of the what was there at the time and not distracting.

Stay true to yourself, yet always be open to learn. Work hard, and never give up on your dreams, even when nobody else believes they can come true but you. These are not cliches but real tools you need no matter what you do in life to stay focused on your path.
