We inherited this boring IKEA closet from the former owners. We thought it to be irritating but kept it for temporary, practial reasons.

The drawers and doors were covered in brown laminated wood - horrible - but we decided to paint them in high-gloss black.

This completely changed the character of the closet and the room. Adding a mirror-like effect and sharp, crisp geometry.

Often imitated, never matched, the bicycle design of Søren Sögreni is legendary. He's been at it for 28 years and he is still going strong.

Picture from 2013. That was just outside the city of Aarhus in Denmark. Behind the house there was a forest, and beyond that was the Baltic Sea. A really great corner! This house immediately fascinated me, and least of all because of the wire hanging out of the wooden part.

In the meantime it has been renovated and has now become a B&B.

"TURBO was created by Louis Weisdorf in 1965 and manufactured by Lyfa.

TURBO is a very simple design containing 12 identical white-sprayed spiral shaped segments made of aluminium whose exterior follow the face of a globe. This implies that the light does not blind, as the bulb is screened. Due to the vertical placement of the 12 segments the lamp is easy on dust and easy to clean. TURBO gives a functional and exquisite diffuse light and sends a pleasant gloom onto itself and its surroundings.

At the Hannover fair in 1973 TURBO was nominated by an international jury to be shown at the special show ‘Die Gute Industrieform’, where TURBO received the IF73 award. Still in year 2005 TURBO is recognized as a classic design light being included in “1000 Lights” in Taschen’s Decorative Arts series."

I just love mine ;-)

Creating a simple, soft design for small and large pendants was the main idea behind Cecilie Manz' Caravaggio series. The curves passed through a number of shapes during the design process, but this version captures a feminine form. More info about the Caravaggio pendant

Old school wheel lock on a bike in my backyard.

All Danish bikes have to have wheellocks for insurance purposes, but these days we use keys.

This one is a combination lock, which requires you to remember which metal buttons have to be pushed in.

Well, I don't know if this photo is better than the other one, but the colour of the cardigan isn't distorted anymore.

The Seven chair (3107), designed by Arne Jacobsen.

I wanted to get back to the set I started earlier, Form @ Home, where I try to capture the mood and feeling of some things we’ve got at home. This time I tried to use a cooler, blueish toned color instead of the sepia. Again, I'm trying to find form and details, capturing the mood and feeling of the object. For this I used the 5D with the 100mm L IS macro lens. All shot handheld with available light.

The world famous SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Five star luxury. Host to kings and superstars.

The world's first "designer" hotel. Everything - from the cutlery to the building itself - was designed by Arne Jacobsen.

Seen here with a monument in the foreground.

In the 80's they renovated the rooms and removed the original interiors. Fortunately they have reversed this tendency and are renovating the rooms back to their original form as Jacobsen intended.

This set of photos is a try to capture the mood and feeling of some things we’ve got at home. I didn’t want to photograph the whole, but rather some details that would give out the mood of the object. For this I used the 5D with the 100mm macro lens. All shot handheld with available light.
