Found in my warderobe as I was moving out of home in 2000, I rediscovered it while in the attic this week!! Dating from the late 1970s the Dandy Airline Album was free when you purchased 10 packets of Dandy Airline Stickers!!!
Today kids have Match Attacks albums and everything else under the sun......apart from an Airline Album.
Its interesting to see that naturally some of the airlines have disappeared, but also some of the countries have too disappeared from the format there were in in the 1970s....

I love the perfect symmetry of each petal of a dahlia no matter what type and this dahlia is no exception. Nature working it's magic!
I am not entirely sure what these are. A friend bought them in a street market in France. I Ican't decide whether they are clohing labels or badges to be sewn on. I suspect labels ...
We stayed at this hotel in Zhongshan for most of our stay in Taipei. The location is convenient, closed to Zhongshan Metro stop and there're lots of cool shops and cafes nearby (like Booday). Though it's also close to the "Red light district" where there're lots of hostess bars for Japanese business men. We saw some "couples" who came into the hotel for a "1-2 hour stay"...
The beats were ear-numbingly loud. Sorry, couldn't get a name. That's OK... I like mine better.
This was a fab-U-lous night of (watered-down) drinks, dancing, and your basic gay club debauchery. "Dandy" was pirouetting on a mini couch/stage with a black balloon -on-a-stick. I loved his knickers... well, all of it! I do believe his lives to be on camera. His pout in this shot is studied if you ask moi! The story is that I snapped a pic of him earlier with the balloon, but later in the evening he approached us and said he wanted photo's with my friend and me. We complied, but I had to capture him as well.
(my beloved friend got her mug in the frame off to the left. she is not to be confused with a boy).
This one is my favourite...
Instead of mowing the lawn I decided to photograph one of the weeds currently residing there. I never particularly liked dandelions until this year!

This was my "concept" for my wind submission for the Nikon D40/x/60 challenge group.
I obviously shot this with the D90 instead,
the Sb-600 was on the stand and in front of the flower/subject.

For anyone who used to go to Blue Coat Infants school and has fond memories of this passageway uphill to the side entrance.
I loved this school, and Sharon Walker, who I recollect holding hands with and perhaps even kissing the cheek of here when I was 4-years old. Poor girl! :o)

View Large for best effect - I have no idea why but it does seem to enhance the detail.
Now then, here's a puzzle... when I stare at this picture for even just a few seconds it seems to be rotating in a clockwise direction. No such earth moving event happens for The Most Beautiful Girl In The World and she thinks I'm either completely bonkers or in need of urgent medical attention and a brain scan!
So, if anyone does have the time to test this out and sees the same do let me know - and then I can cancel the doctor's appointment.

A Boatshed article describes the Dandy as being 15'9" long by 5'11" beam, 1'6" draft, with 4'9" headroom under the shelter; two berths inside. The figures may not be accurate though - they estimate displacement at 1000kg, which sounds a lot too much to me. I think the boats were built in the 1970s. All likely to be in somewhat tired condition by now.
