Mamiya 645 AF, 80mm f2.8, Kodak Tri-X @ 1600
More from that Vampire live-action roleplaying shoot...
Found in my warderobe as I was moving out of home in 2000, I rediscovered it while in the attic this week!! Dating from the late 1970s the Dandy Airline Album was free when you purchased 10 packets of Dandy Airline Stickers!!!
Today kids have Match Attacks albums and everything else under the sun......apart from an Airline Album.
Its interesting to see that naturally some of the airlines have disappeared, but also some of the countries have too disappeared from the format there were in in the 1970s....

(I was watching this guy - the owner, I presume - moving around the shop - and then - perfect! - he stepped out the door. First he apologied for being there ("I didn't realise you were taking a photo") and then he apologised for the fact that the Christmas lights in the window weren't working. Don't you just love the English (well, that generation, anyway)?! ) (And of course, I was feeling the whole time that I should be apologising to him ... )

One of my rescue cats had kittens. This is Dandy Brierre -as an orange cat he became named for a Flyer. My mother originally called him Dandelion -but I prefer Dandy.
Today, I visited Ryerss Museum and Library, in Philadelphia. I was thankful that non-flash photography is allowed! Among the many interesting display items was this nineteenth-century sculpture. The sign indicated that people of that time would have recognized this figure as a caricature of a man who pays too much attention to his physical appearance. In the 1800s, people would have referred to him as a "dandy."
The bronze sculpture was made by Antonio Pandiani (1838-1928), to make fun of these well-dressed men. Dandies from Italy were referred to, abroad, as "macaroni." Suddenly, songs such as, "Yankee Doodle," and, "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy," make more sense!

warm fluffy clouds of peace~
carry you away for a moment in time~
comforting in nature's place.
