AHA, but which is FINE and which is DANDY? LOL.

For the most part, carnations express love, fascination, and distinction.

I love the drama here created by the purple edges and all the frillydetail in those 'feathered' beauties...

This is actually my husband Hans' favorite roe-deer shot. He has been urging me to post this one for ages already so here it is. The reason why he likes it so much is that, although we are surrounded by roe-deer for a good part of the year, it's quite hard to approach them and normally they have spotted you long before you can capture them whin a relaxed way. I really loved to be able to capture this handsome dandy in the field of dandelions in our meadow. He looked at me, totally aware that I was there, but just relaxed.. Fantastic.

Dear friends, I'm going to leave you for a short while to go abroad. Will be back in a couple of weeks.

Ever since I've quit my job beginning of this year and I became a full-time photographer, things have been developing with such incredible speed, that it is sometimes hard to grasp. As soon as I can, I will update the diary on my website , but now I absolutely have to go and pack my luggage.!

Have a wonderful Easter weekend everyone!!!!

Happy Easter!

Lots of dandelions around now.

Another shot from my yard! The dandy dandelions. :)

This is one of the vehicles that took part in the Greater Manchester Transport Society's Trans Lancs Historic Vehicle Rally in Heaton Park, Manchester in September 1988. It's a 1927 Thornycroft Dandy and the programme of the event had this comment about the vehicle:

YC 1176 Thornycroft Dandy. 1927. Entered by Frederick Robinson Limited, Unicorn Brewery, Stockport. This fine vintage lorry is now in the distinctive livery of its present owner.

..ready for a sunday in the park.

Just dumping random photos. I'll clean this up tomorrow.

Dandy shoes. Sune Sundahl´s photo - here processed and colorized by me - is in the Swedish Digital Museum archive (ARKM.1988-111-00570-A). No date is given, but Sundahl probably took this picture in the 1950s.

Let the sun shine ....

As part of my photography assignment for 52Frames, we were to shoot with the camera’s aperture wide open. I decided to use my 50mm ƒ/1.2 lens and went at it. On the first day of the assignment window, I went to my front yard and used some dandelions as my subjects. To maintain a low ISO and shutter speed, I had to use an ND filter at ƒ/1.2.
