Dandelion seedhead sparkling in the rain on Bluebird Estates, Alberta, Canada
A Dandelion macro, just for fun. I found one of the elusive Dandelions and was able to get a macro to show the inner workings of this rare work of nature.
this morning when i went out to get the paper i saw an enemy growing next to the driveway ... so, i decided to try a Char/Trina shot and see if i could get any decent results ... i grabbed my camera and on the ground i went, lining up for a couple of quick shots .... as luck would have it a neighbor was returning from his morning walk, as the sun was coming up, and asked what the hell i was doing laid out halfway on my lawn and driveway ... as i got up i mumbled something about dandelions and flickr and weird friends ... he walked away shaking his head and laughing ... oh well ....
so anyway, here's another of the dreaded dandy with a bit of texture and whatever... and now, back to decorating the tree ... have a wonderfully weird and fun filled weekend!
Daffodils are just coming into season at the Mount Lofty Botanic Garden, South Australia. Actually they are probably in full swing now as this was taken a couple of weeks ago. (standard 18-55mm kit lens) Actually I think these are Narcissus papyraceus aka paperwhite narcissus

AHA, but which is FINE and which is DANDY? LOL.
For the most part, carnations express love, fascination, and distinction.
I love the drama here created by the purple edges and all the frillydetail in those 'feathered' beauties...

This is actually my husband Hans' favorite roe-deer shot. He has been urging me to post this one for ages already so here it is. The reason why he likes it so much is that, although we are surrounded by roe-deer for a good part of the year, it's quite hard to approach them and normally they have spotted you long before you can capture them whin a relaxed way. I really loved to be able to capture this handsome dandy in the field of dandelions in our meadow. He looked at me, totally aware that I was there, but just relaxed.. Fantastic.
Dear friends, I'm going to leave you for a short while to go abroad. Will be back in a couple of weeks.
Ever since I've quit my job beginning of this year and I became a full-time photographer, things have been developing with such incredible speed, that it is sometimes hard to grasp. As soon as I can, I will update the diary on my website , but now I absolutely have to go and pack my luggage.!
Have a wonderful Easter weekend everyone!!!!
