Afro-latin hip hop is a fusion/hybrid style with the foundational footwork movement of African tribal dance and the styling of latin hip hop used mostly to dance to a dembow rhythm.
This is a very fast tempo dance partly choreographed and partly freestyled by Jordan Laza.
Originally danced to "Que Calor" (Saweetie Remix) by Major Lazer ft. J Balvin and El Afla. Tempo = 126.0 BPM

This year my wife's class danced to Putting On The Ritz. I hoped they would have used Taco's version but it was apparently too fast for them. So they used Frank Sinatra's version.

Some believe that the War dance Societies of the Ponca and other Southern Plains Tribes were the origin of the Pow Wow. A Pow Wow is a Native American tradition that brings together many different tribes and communities. It’s a special event for Native American communities that celebrates dance, song, socializing and honors a rich heritage.
