The Christopher Watson Dance Company presents the 10th Annual Dances at the Lakes Festival - two FREE concerts in the Rose Garden at Lake Harriet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11. This unique festival brings together professional dancers and youth companies performing a wide variety of concert dance styles. This year the festival features nearly 100 dancers performing in the 14 dance groups performing in the two shows. Audience members are invited to bring a lawn chair or blanket and some snacks or a picnic dinner and enjoy the unique opportunity of seeing dance performed in the beautiful setting of the Rose Garden.

Battery Dance Company din New York s-a aflat la Bucuresti pentru o serie de ateliere de dans si un spectacol de dans modern, proiect organizat in colaborare si finantat de Ambasada SUA la Bucuresti si Departamentul de Stat al SUA. Cei cinci artisti dansatori ai Battery Dance Company au lucrat cu adolescenti si tineri din Bucuresti pentru a crea numere de coregrafie puse apoi in scena la Sala Mare a Palatului National al Copiilor. Publicul prezent la spectacol pe 21 martie a ovationat cu entuziasm creatiile de dans ale participantilor romani, care au dansat alaturi de cei cinci americani de la Battery Dance Company - www.batterydance.org (Lucian Crusoveanu / Public Diplomacy Office)

This lovely woman is a representative of the state of Hidalgo. She was a guest of great honor at the gathering in Santa Catarina, and I am sorry not to know her name. She was instrumental in providing the materials for the women of the community to make their embroidered textiles. When she arrived a bit late, the women presented her with the flowered staff and performed a special dance just for (and with) her.

In order to get quality images of these Vivid Dancers I had to get on my belly using my arms as a tripod to help stablize the shot, definitely not a comfortable position to say the least since the substrata that the Vivid Dancers prefer is hard-packed soil with small, scattered rocks to land on.

Dance by Deeptha Jayakar : An excellent dance performance by Deeptha in Krishna Gana Sabha, Tnagar Chennai on 26 12 2014.
The performance ofher depicted the love and affection of Gopikas and Esp Radha towards krishna and also depicted the story of Madhava aka Lord Krishna. The performance for about an hour and every movement she performed was excellent and brought the scene into our eyes. These pictures gives you the glimpse of her performance.

The dance floors at this year’s Hot Jazz Jubilee were busy as usual as the bands played. It looked like those who were moving in accord with the music were having a great time.
