Looking for myself. Mainly when I am lost
Among the crowds.
And when alone. Searching. sometimes I do
see myself a bit blurred. Not focused.
There are times that I am nor clear.
But then I'm with myself, alone. And I see clearly.
I have found myself, and so even among the crowd
I love who I am.
I hug myself, celebrating this self-recognition.
For even among the crowd, I dance.
I am dancing like there is no tomorrow
Loving and appreciating me.
Even among wolves that call themselves
Humans.

This week's Illustration Friday theme is "dance", which gave me a good excuse to get this little idea that's been floating around in my head for a few weeks.
Drawn freehand in adobe illustrator this morning. This one took about two hours, too much of that time fussing over the placement of the cats and music notes.
And... this is how Tuesday night ends: basking in the beats of top DJs mixing live at Cobalt Blue, dancing the night away with friends, and savoring a perfect Cuba Libre. Now, it's time to rest and recharge. There's still plenty of work to tackle before the weekend arrives!

Here is a dancing cow I made at work last week as a gift/teaser for an upcoming presentation for a client. By far the most complex thing I've ever designed with just paper. I hope to have time to do a personal piece of paper automata with my own illustration style and characters sometime soon, but this was very time consuming.
