Dance (I) marks a moment in Matisse’s career when he embraced a reductive approach to painting, seeking the expressive potentials of fundamental elements: line, color, and form. This daring approach was influenced by the increasing sophistication of photographic technology. In 1909—the year of this painting—the artist observed, “The painter no longer has to preoccupy himself with details. The photograph is there to render the multitude of details a hundred times better and more quickly. Plastic form will present emotion as directly as possible and by the simplest means.”

I had an idea for a Christmas themed build this year and it just so happened to turn out perfect for this years #BuildToGive theme of gifts.
I was pretty happy with how this one turned out with the crab bobbing up and down and swaying side to side. It honestly took way to long to finish because I would just sit there making the little crab dance instead of finishing it.
If you want to build one yourself you can! I have made instructions for this build are free on rebrickable.

Long-legged Marsh Glider (Trithemis pallidinervis) Male
The male and female have similar marking. However, the face of male is metallic purple but rather yellow white in female. The side of thorax and the basal half of femora of first pair of legs are brownish in male. In female all these parts are bright yellow.
And as usual, the males have thinner abdomen because they need not have to lay eggs. :)
