La luz del amanecer daba un ambiente íntimo a este cementerio de Flakstad (Noruega); la nieve caída en la noche todavía dejaba ver algunas luces que habitualmente acompañan a las lápidas.

CORCUBION
El Ayuntamiento de Corcubión está situado en el extremo oeste de Galicia, siendo nuestra ría a más alta de las Rías Baixas y formando parte de la denominada Costa da Morte. Corcubión es, por lo tanto, tierra de transición entre el sosiego y calma de las Rías Baixas y la bravura y la naturaleza viva propias de la Costa da Morte.
Nuestro Ayuntamiento es uno de los más pequeños de Galicia. Tiene una extensión de 7,6 km2 y una población de unos 1600 habitantes. Esta constituido por dos parroquias: la de San Marcos de Corcubión (la zona urbana) y la de San Pedro de Redonda (zona rural).
2924 (Budapest Nyugati pu.-Lajosmizse) MÁV commemorated the 60th anniversary of the M62 series this year on the last weekend of September. As part of this, a total of six sergej locomotives were put into passenger train service on the Budapest-Lajosmizse railway line. Of these, the Slovakian T679.1168 and the Czech T679.1600 sergejs were truly special. Based on the weather forecasts for the previous days and that morning, it seemed that it would be cloudy all day, but those who left home in the morning despite this, did well: by late morning, the clouds torn apart and the sky cleared in the area, so although not from every train and not at the planned spots, but a few sunny pictures were taken during the day.
This year marks the 60th anniversary of the production of the M62 series Szergej locomotives. To commemorate this, on Saturday, 2025 September 27, a total of six Szergej locomotives were put into service on the S21 passenger trains running on line nr. 142 in Hungary, according to the basic timetable, including the T679.1168 from Slovakia and the Czech T679.1600 from the Czech Republic. Based on the weather forecasts for the previous days and that morning, it seemed that it would be cloudy all day, but those who left home in the morning despite this, did well: by late morning, the clouds torn apart and the sky cleared in the area, so although not from every train and not at the planned spots, but a few sunny pictures were taken during the day. The photo shows the orange-colored M62 187 passing in front of Dabas with the passenger train 2964.

El puente de Alcántara (del árabe القنطرة al-qanţaratu, "puente") se levanta sobre el río Tajo, en la ciudad de Toledo (España). Situado a los pies del castillo de San Servando, se tiene constancia de su construcción en la época romana, en la fundación de Toletum. Era uno de los puentes que daba entrada a la ciudad y era en el Medioevo entrada obligada para todo peregrino.
Está fuertemente protegido con dos puertas fortificadas en sus extremos, siendo una de ellas de estilo barroco y otra construida en época medieval. Este puente ha sido objeto de constantes ataques en el periodo de la Reconquista, y vuelto a reconstruir.

Alcántara Bridge (from Arabic al-qanţaratu القنطرة "bridge") stands on the river Tagus, in the city of Toledo (Spain). Located at the foot of the castle of San Servando, is no record of its construction in the Roman era, the foundation of Toletum. It was one of the bridges leading into the city and was in the medieval pilgrim must for every entry.
Is heavily protected by two fortified gates at each end, one of them baroque and another built in medieval times. This bridge has been under constant attack in the period of the Reconquista, and returned to rebuild.

Santiago del Espaldarazo.
Se denominada así por tratarse de una figura articulada que, según la tradición, era utilizada para armar caballeros a los reyes y a los príncipes e infantes, a los que, una vez terminada la ceremonia, les daba un espaldarazo con la espada colocada en su brazo articulado que era manejada por detrás.
Es tradicional clasificar las imágenes de Santiago en tres tipos: las imágenes de apóstol como maestro sedente en majestad, las imágenes de Santiago como peregrino y las imágenes de Santiago como caballero o guerrero. A medias entre los tipos primero y tercero está esta imagen, por tratarse de un Santiago sedente pero con espada y con la particularidad de tener los brazos articulados.
La imagen se custodia en la capilla de Santiago del Real Monasterio de Las Huelgas de Burgos, una capilla que se encuentra fuera de las construcciones monásticas, aislada en el terreno de la huerta, de llamativo estilo mudéjar, construida en piedra y ladrillo, con una puerta de arco túmido o arco árabe, un friso de yesería mudéjar y un notable artesonado. Se accede al presbiterio por otro túmido, donde se encuentra la imagen de Santiago del siglo XIII.
Esta figura que goza de las características del Santiago sedente en majestad y de las de Santiago caballero por su armadura y su espada, se confeccionó de forma articulada para que, en la ceremonia de armar caballeros a los reyes, fuese el Santo quien les diese el espaldarazo y no otro caballero súbdito del monarca, pues según las normas de caballería medieval sólo un superior podía armar a un aspirante, y por tanto se concluyó que únicamente el apóstol Santiago podía hacerlo. Esta escultura sedente es de la segunda mitad del siglo XIII, viste gonela policromada con arabescos de colores vivos, coloreados para darles una entonación más suave.
Entre los caballeros armados antes de ser reyes figuran Fernando III el Santo, Eduardo I de Inglaterra, Alfonso XI de Castilla y de León, Pedro I de Castilla y Juan II. Los reyes coronados aquí fueron Alfonso XI y su hijo Enrique II de Trastámara.
El rey velaba toda la noche las armas vestido de blanco y con la única luz de una vela. De ahí vienen las expresiones "pasar la noche en blanco" y "pasar la noche en vela" para expresar una noche sin dormir.

This figure, which enjoys the characteristics of Santiago seated in majesty and those of Santiago the knight due to his armor and his sword, was made in an articulated way so that, in the ceremony of knighting the kings, it was the Saint who gave them the accolade and not another knight subject to the monarch, since according to the rules of medieval chivalry only a superior could arm an aspirant, and therefore it was concluded that only the apostle Santiago could do so. This seated sculpture is from the second half of the 13th century, it wears polychrome gona with arabesques of bright colors, colored to give them a softer intonation.
Among the armed knights before becoming kings are Ferdinand III the Saint, Edward I of England, Alfonso XI of Castile and León, Peter I of Castile and John II. The kings crowned here were Alfonso XI and his son Enrique II of Trastámara.
The king kept watch over his weapons all night, dressed in white and with the only light of a candle. That's where the expressions "spending the night in white" and "spending the night in candle" come from to express a sleepless night.

Hola queridos amigos, os presento una nueva fotografía de Monells, un pueblo medieval de Gerona (Catalunya).
Esta fotografía és una panorámica compuesta de seis fotos, pero le he sacado la parte izquierda por que daba a un pequeño callejón mediaval muy bonito, pero me distraia la atención del centro de la plaza, que era lo que yo buscaba.
Tambien deciros la complejidad el realizar las panorámicas sin tripode y a pleno pulso con los 2 kgs, que pesa mi cámara.
Las anécdotas de la foto;
La fotografía debería estar realizada con una modelo en el centro de la plaza, vestida con un precioso vestido rojo y dar un salto durante la exposición, pero solo en la foto central de la panorámica... pero la modelo se negó a realizar salto alguno y menos posar el centro de la plaza. Como ya habreis comprendido la modelo se trataba de mi esposa, por lo que le dije que volvería con otra modelo dispuesta a posar para estos parajes tan medievales.
La otra anécdota es que la plaza se aprecia vacia, pero detrás de los pilares está la gente esperando que les avise para salir... gracias a todos ellos de nuevo, si buscais vereis a algunos por los rincones.

Hello dear friends, I present you a new photograph of Monells, a medieval town in Gerona (Catalonia).
This photograph is a panoramic made up of six photos, but I have taken the left part because it overlooked a very nice little medieval alley, but it distracted my attention from the center of the square, which was what I was looking for.
I also tell you the complexity of making the panoramas without a tripod and at full pulse with the 2 kgs, which my camera weighs.
The anecdotes of the photo;
The photograph should be taken with a model in the center of the square, dressed in a beautiful red dress and jumping during the exhibition, but only in the central photo of the panorama ... but the model refused to jump at all let alone pose in the center of the square. As you may have already understood, the model was my wife, so I told her that I would return with another model willing to pose for these medieval places.
The other anecdote is that the square looks empty, but behind the pillars there are people waiting for me to tell them to leave ... thanks to all of them again, if you look you will see some in the corners.

La pandemia que padecemos nos ha hecho cambiar algunos hábitos de vida. En mi caso me ha llevado a volver a retomar constumbres que casi daba por olvidadas. Desde hace algunos años, tras detectarme un pequeño problema cardiaco, abandoné una de las actividades que solía hacer los fines de semana, la subida a los montes cercanos a mi casa. Dicen que Alicante es una de las provincias más montañosas de la península Iberica. Pues bien, desde que nos desconfiaron, y siempre que puedo, he vuelto a retomar esa actividad. Por supuesto por rutas accesibles a casi cualquier mortal. Es cierto que debo llevar un control con el ritmo de mi corazón, pero paso a paso y con las paradas oportunas voy llegando a las metas que me propongo. Este fin de semana volvimos, mi pareja y yo, a visitar el Monte Castellet, conocido popularmente como els Castellets. Allí nos tomamos la cerveza de rigor y el bocadillo correspondiente antes de hacer unas fotos y emprender el regreso hasta el coche. Tomarse una cerveza bajo el sol del Mediterráneo y con esas vistas no tiene precio. Allí estuvimos un rato, solos, en lo alto de la cresta, disfrutando del momento.
En la foto se puede apreciar a la izquierda el Puig Campana, en el centro la Sierra de Orxeta, al fondo y en pequeño se aprecia la Serra Grossa y el Benacantil, sobre el que se erige el Castillo de Santa Bárbara (no se aprecia). Justo a su derecha en medio plano se encuentra la Sierra de Relleu. Más a la derecha y justo en medio y por encima del final de Els Castellets, a lo lejos, se puede apreciar la Sierra de Font Calent, tras ella, más lejos (a unos 80 km), la Sierra de Callosa; más a la derecha y también tras Els Castellets la Sierra del Cabeçó d'Or y finalmete a la derecha del todo la Sierra de Aitana con sus antenas. The pandemic that we suffer has made us change some habits of life. In my case, it has led me to get back to habits that I almost took for granted. For some years, after detecting a small heart problem, I abandoned one of the activities that I used to do on weekends, hiking. They say that Alicante is one of the most mountainous provinces on the Iberian Peninsula. Since they let us go out, whenever I can, I go to the mountain. Of course by routes accessible to almost any mortal. It is true that I have to keep a certain control with the rhythm of my heart, but step by step and with the appropriate stops I am reaching the goals that I set for myself. This weekend, my wife and I returned to visit Monte Castellet, popularly known as els Castellets. There we had a beer and sandwich before taking some photos and heading back to the car. Having a beer under the Mediterranean sun and with those views is priceless. We were there for a while, alone, at the top of the ridge, enjoying the moment.
In the photo you can see on the left the Puig Campana, in the center the Sierra de Orxeta, in the background you can see the Serra Grossa and Benacantil, on which the Castle of Santa Bárbara stands (not appreciated). Just to your right in the middle of the plane is the Sierra de Relleu. Further to the right and just in the middle and above, the end of Els Castellets, in the distance, you can see the Sierra de Font Calent, behind it, further (about 80 km), the Sierra de Callosa; further to the right and also after Els Castellets the Sierra del Cabeçó d'Or and finally to the right the Sierra de Aitana with its antennas. Everything is best seen in real size (27289 × 6288 px).
This is a segment of the shore of the Bay of Rīga that is around 40 km long and features the valleys of three major rivers – the Lielupe, Daugava and Gauja river. There are dune formations, biotopes, seashore meadows and forested seashore dunes which are an important recreational resource.

🇪🇸 Hace dos semanas junto al amigo Adrián Vázquez fuimos a la Montaña de León, no hay sitio que él no conozca. El tiempo no daba muy allá pero aún así decidimos arriesgarnos, la marcha fue un poquito dura ya que había bastante viento y algo de lluvia, además, ésta tapaba un poco el horizonte, pero finalmente ceso la lluvia y frente a nuestros ojos tuvimos una vista realmente brutal que tranquilamente pudiera ser de un país Nórdico, solamente faltaba un barco vikingo.
Entre el frio, el viento y la humedad conseguimos alguna panorámica, de la serie que hice, esta fue la que mas me gustó.

Two weeks ago with my friend Adrián Vázquez we went to the Montaña de León, there is no place he doesn't know. The weather was not very good but still we decided to take the risk, the walk was a little hard because it was quite windy and there was some rain, besides, it covered the horizon a little, but finally the rain stopped and in front of our eyes we had a really brutal view that could easily be of a Nordic country, only a Viking ship was missing.
Between the cold, the wind and the humidity we got some panoramic, of the series that I made, this was the one that I liked the most.
