A coup d’état (pronounced /kuːdeɪˈtɑː/ AHD: [ko͞o"dā tä]), often simply called a coup, is the sudden unconstitutional overthrow of a government by a part — usually small — of the state establishment — usually the military — to replace the branch of the stricken government, either with another civil government or with a military government.

I was on a flight coming home from a work trip to DC one day. It happened to be an Honor Flight. There were a couple dozen American Vets on board. We hit some of the worst turbulence I've ever experienced. People were white knuckle gripping their arm rests, couples were holding hands, one woman was quietly sobbing. I look down the isle, and all the Veterans were looking around and at each other with the funniest grins on their faces. It was like they were saying to each other... Oh come on! You people got to be kidding me!

Other than First Potteries, another major bus operator to serve the region is Centrebus Group owned, D&G Bus who also operate the recently acquired the former Arriva Midlands operation in Cannock, now known as Chaserider.
It is easy to tell that D&G Bus is a well-run operation with nicely presented single-deck buses providing competition against First Potteries, and even taking over services left behind by the major company.
The bus operator operates a slowly growing fleet of Optare MetroCities, which in all honesty are not the best looking buses in the world... Who thought combining the front of the Tempo SR with a Versa's body was a good idea?!
Either way, the operator has 4 in total, all of which are based from Adderley Green.

D&H U30-C #712 leads an Eastbound freight that has stopped for a crew change at Hornell, NY on the night of 5/6/1978. The 712 was running it's last miles for the D&H as it was one of the units that was purged from the roster when the D&H got rid of the U30-C's and C-628's in 1979.

As part of the D-Day 75th Anniversary events, the BBMF recreated a parachute drop over Normandy with 16th Air Assault Brigade.
Availability of the BBMF Dakota ZA947 (8.33 kHz radio fitting), the crew (all volunteers who have other RAF roles), and of suitable weather squeezed the window of opportunity for a training jump at RAF Weston-on-the-Green, but persistence paid off, the practice was completed and all was set for France.
On 5th June 2019, the BBMF Dakota, mirroring the 139 Dakotas involved in dropping Parachute Brigades in June of 1944, carried 12 Paratroopers of 16th Air Assault Brigade to the Drop Zone at Sannerville, escorted by Spitfire Mk Vb AB910, an historic aircraft which flew numerous cover patrols over the D-Day invasion beach heads on 6 June 1944 and afterwards.
