Bad things. I got home and Teddy wouldn't put any weight on it and when I touched it he made a horrible cry. At 17 years, the emergency vet says it may never truly heal. We're getting a second opinion on Saturday from his real vet. Then I have to consider his loss of hearing, fading eye sight, sudden bowel issue (sorry but true), constant sleepiness, and now an inability to walk comfortably. I may have a huge decision to make. :(

It doesn't look pretty and he still has an ever-so-slight hitch in his giddyup, but he's back to walking almost normally. I haven't seen him do his usual happy dance after doing his business, but all signs are pointing up!!
In other news, he panicked and tried to launch himself off the couch the other day because I was trying to clean food off his face. Luckily, after he was in mid-air, I managed to grab his back legs at the hip and pluck him out of the air and bring him in. I figure that catch saved myself another $400 in emergency vet bills and those unforgettable memories of hearing him howl in pain. All those years of baseball, but that was the greatest catch of my life. :)

Met this lovely little dog in the park yesterday and he was very happy to pose for me. No idea what breed he is but he is a handsome boy.

This really cute and calm dog came to a relatives party. He slept all through it, even whilst being photographed by me. Do not know the breed though. All natural light, dog lies in shadow. Shot with my 24mm fixed lens from the 70´s. As always still performing very well.
