"Current Security Challenges in the Black Sea Region"

(Sofia; April 22nd, 2016)

This is for the project on stage and audience. I first started off looking at the roads and what is a stage and an audience in the streets. I went to the Tate Britain to look into more depth with the project. I researched John Heartfield for help with collages.

Some late afternoon cloud development, you can see them upwelling from the bottom near the horizon. Dappled high clouds above. Posted just because of the delicate texture and colors.

"Past and current parents"

This is where the Tuross Lake runs out to the ocean. The outlet narrows, thanks to the sandbars, to about 10m across and as such the current is very strong here. Sweeps you along at about 5-6 knots; if you're not paying attention you could quickly get swept out through the surf in the rip at this point.

You can also see the salt spray being blown over Tuross Beach/sandbar on the left of frame. The visibility was pretty poor this morning because there was so much salt spray in the air.

After the sales office is gone, the next step is to cover the surface of the sight with reinforced concrete, I guess it is about 30 centimeters thick (1 ft.). The whole surface is covered except for 1 meter wide slots all around the edge and a "well" in the middle. These slots are trenched out to a depth of 28 - 36 meters according to the sight foreman who talked to me. The rebar is welded into 28 - 36 meter tall cages and lowered into the slots. There were three cranes on the sight Kobelco (aqua) Hitachi (orange) and a hybrid of both manufacturers. All the cranes are Japanese.

These are some of the books I'm currently reading.

The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

Outlander by Diana Gabaldon

A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again by David Foster Wallace

Fiction and Poetry by Edgar Allan Poe

The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle
