Currently known as the Sentinel Hotel, the Hotel Governor is actually made up of two buildings. The Eastern building (seen here) was erected as the Seward Hotel in 1909 and boasts an Arts and Crafts style exterior with art nouveau and Native American designs. The Western building was the Elks Temple, erected in 1923 then closing and becoming an administrative center in 1932 following the Great Depression. The two buildings were joined together in 1992 as the Hotel Governor.
