I was bored and wanted to do SOMETHING with my airsoft, so I geared up and took some pics for you guys.

-added some small rails to the sides of my mask for if I get a flashlight or camera

Agriculture was the theme for our club last year, so I decided to go back to my/our roots and agriculture as it was first practiced. This is a Nanticoke (or Leni Lenape) Native American maiden, grinding corn while her dog looks on, waiting for her to play with him. The phrase: three sisters comes from the method of planting. Corn is planted first, beans are planted at their base and twine up the corn and squash is planted in between, to shade and mulch the other two plants. This is traditional planting back in the old days.

Ancient Assos.....The city was founded from 1000 to 900 BC by Aeolian colonists from Lesbos, who specifically are said to have come from Methymna. The settlers built a Doric Temple to Athena on top of the crag in 530 BC. From this temple Hermias of Atarneus, a student of Plato, ruled Assos, the Troad and Lesbos for a period of time, under which the city experienced its greatest prosperity. (Strangely, Hermias was actually the slave of the ruler of Atarneus.[4]) Under his rule, he encouraged philosophers to move to the city. As part of this, in 348 BC Aristotle came here and married King Hermeias's niece, Pythia, before leaving for Lesbos three years later in 345 BC. This 'golden period' of Assos ended several years later when the Persians arrived, and subsequently tortured Hermias to death. The Persians were driven out by Alexander the Great in 334 BC. Between 241 and 133 BC, the city was ruled by the Kings of Pergamon. However, in 133 BC, the Pergamons lost control of the city as it was absorbed by the Roman empire. St. Paul also visited the city during his third missionary journey through Asia Minor, which was between 53-57 AD, on his way to Lesbos. From this period onwards, Assos shrunk to a small village, as it has remained ever since. Ruins around Assos continue to be excavated. The pillars from the ancient port lay in the harbor for over a millennia. Eventually they were probably sold. In the early 1900s an attempt was made to move the contents of the Temple of Athena. Much of the art has been moved to museums like the Louvre.[4] The art found includes pictures both of mythical creatures and heraldic events.

Jerry Douglas is from Ohio, and currently plays with Alison Krauss and Union Station as well as leading his own bluegrass quintet. This occasional band takes him in a direction towards jazz. He and Viktor Krauss (who plays with Bill Frisell as well as bluegrass and country musicians) are joined by Omar Hakim (one of a large number of drummers who were at one time members of Weather Report).

"Palanquin Hook" is piece not currently on view at the Cleveland Museum of Art originating from Cambodia during the 12-13th century. Made in the Banyon style, with the deimensions of 17.4 cm (6 7/8 in.); this ornate bronze hook would have once supported a bronze ring which attached to a seat, as part of a larger palanquin, used to carry important members of the royal family or priesthood during public festivals. The hook is decorated with detailed symbolism which includes a garuda, or man-eagle, which represents success and devotion, and a sword-bearing dancer depicting a historical scene. This piece was a purchase from the John L. Severance Fund 1982.12. The image is in the Public Domain and can be seen on the museum's website: www.clevelandart.org/art/1982.12
Our everyday life is can often be described as a flow, that is constantly taking us forward. We pass by places, things and people, leaving our memories and experiences behind and we sometimes don’t have an opportunity to stand up, stop and look around or behind ourselves, to see all the way, all the traces, the inanimate witnesses, that silently remember us passing by. In this photo series I sought to slow down, disconnect myself from the motion and look back, look up and down. I moved to the sides and touched the objects, had a closer look at them, inspected the marks, textures and lines, tried to observe them back and seek for the clues for the stories they had witnessed.

My current collection of superhero figures - includes several knock-off figures as stand-ins for Comic Con or other exclusive figures I may or may not ever own one day. Some of them are actually very good or do designs that TLG hasn't done - like the army of Iron Man suits - my particular faves are the various super suits.
