he gave me the title and I designed the cover for him...no, that is NOT ME on the cover, just so you know, haha!

Found this awesome wire shelf at my very favorite thrift store for like $8. It was intended for the inside of an armoire that needed shelves, but I liked it better out in the open where I could load it up with treasures!

The main entrance to Blackfriars from St Giles Street, Oxford; Though the current foundation dates only from 1921, the Dominican Order has a much longer history in the City of Oxford dating back to 1221; the Reformation's closure of all monastic houses forced an absence of 400 years, but today it is thriving again, a haven of peace and spirituality and a centre of learning and training of new members of the priesthood.
This was the reason for my visit this day, with Flickrfriend Br Lawrence Lew about to be recieved into the priesthood. At the same time Br Robert Verril, an old school friend of mine (from many years ago in Rugby) was made a deacon. I came to show my support and wish them both well for the future.

discussing current tendencies to move away from industrial-design precision towards seemingly archaic, still mediated digitally ways of production and articulation of space. saturation or detail in this case results from specific tool/machine resolution- here simulated by pushing voxel space towards it's capacity limits resulting in glitches and repetitive patterns.
The Current Affairs Committee of the Congress met in Venice, Italy, on 9 March 2017, under the presidency of Gabriele Neff (Germany, ILDG), Chair of the Current Affairs Committee. Mr Simone Venturini, the city’s deputy mayor responsible for social cohesion, employment, spatial development and infrastructure, addressed participants before the opening of the meeting. Participants looked at the role of local and regional authorities in the reception of refugees and the integration of migrants and the situation of Roma and Travellers with a view to approving a resolution on the revised Charter of “European Political Parties for a Non-Racist Society” and a declaration of mayors and elected local and regional representatives of Council of Europe member states against anti-Gypsyism. They also discussed the report “Forever young? The role of youth policies and youth work at local and regional levels in supporting young people’s transition to autonomy and working life” and moves to enable youth delegates to make a greater contribution to the Congress’s work.

Ancient Assos.....The city was founded from 1000 to 900 BC by Aeolian colonists from Lesbos, who specifically are said to have come from Methymna. The settlers built a Doric Temple to Athena on top of the crag in 530 BC. From this temple Hermias of Atarneus, a student of Plato, ruled Assos, the Troad and Lesbos for a period of time, under which the city experienced its greatest prosperity. (Strangely, Hermias was actually the slave of the ruler of Atarneus.[4]) Under his rule, he encouraged philosophers to move to the city. As part of this, in 348 BC Aristotle came here and married King Hermeias's niece, Pythia, before leaving for Lesbos three years later in 345 BC. This 'golden period' of Assos ended several years later when the Persians arrived, and subsequently tortured Hermias to death. The Persians were driven out by Alexander the Great in 334 BC. Between 241 and 133 BC, the city was ruled by the Kings of Pergamon. However, in 133 BC, the Pergamons lost control of the city as it was absorbed by the Roman empire. St. Paul also visited the city during his third missionary journey through Asia Minor, which was between 53-57 AD, on his way to Lesbos. From this period onwards, Assos shrunk to a small village, as it has remained ever since. Ruins around Assos continue to be excavated. The pillars from the ancient port lay in the harbor for over a millennia. Eventually they were probably sold. In the early 1900s an attempt was made to move the contents of the Temple of Athena. Much of the art has been moved to museums like the Louvre.[4] The art found includes pictures both of mythical creatures and heraldic events.
