Spencer from Bumpy's gave me a sample of this coffee to try and see what I could come up with. I don't know the origin, who roasted it, or when it was roasted, so I thought I'd just cup it with three samples. Sweet dark chocolate, roasted almond aroma (one sample was turpeny?, one had kind of a musty aroma) Earthy, Chocolatey, (two of the samples were a little musty in flavour) medium-heavy body, low acidity, not much aftertaste. A little buttery, sweetening and mellowing as it cools, becoming somewhat tobaccoy (two of the samples became ashy).

Cupping and inflammation. What is inflammation?
It is an increased of local fluid flow with porosity vessels.
Local fluid flow : influenced cells forms like fibroblasts, so fibrosis.
Increasing growth factors and inflammatory factors, so fibrosis again !!

Except for the slightly over roasted (read: really strong) taste of the dark roast I thought they turned out pretty well.
The killer is the prices. The beans on right are about $55 per Kg. The green beans were $16.40/Kg
The corn popper I used to roast them was $12. I could throw it out with every kilo and I'd still be saving money.

Fire cupping or simply cupping is a form of traditional medicine found in several cultures. It involves placing glass, plastic, or bamboo cups on the skin. Cupping is also sometimes practised in BDSM for stimulation or pain.

Five El Salvadors on the table this round. Some from some very small farms indeed. Through our vast network of contacts in El Salvador (ahem!) we were able to discover these tiny farms and now are able to give them a fighting chance at the cupping table. Small growers, small roasters. Nimbleness wins the day.
