Actually a Jack Daniels cookbook and coffee that is. Just a little reading material for my coffee break at work. I read cookbooks like any other book, from front to back. I've found more than a few recipes that I would like to try out of this book
A couple of the recipes I would like to try are the dressing for fresh tomato slices and supreme burgers, The farmhouse chicken fried steak recipe has me a bit curious also. The recipe actually calls for a cup of shredded cheese,

Getting up early. Making scones and brewing coffee in my Chemex. It's a slow, calm process. Measuring, grinding and slowly pouring. Getting the bread out of the oven. Waking you up, letting you know that breakfast is ready.
I love these moments, I'm glad I take the time to make them special, to enjoy the everyday things in life.

Morning cup of Joe. Stach is a 'new place to be' urban grocery store with lots of nice goodies. Lots of people grab a coffee and croissant there commuting to their inner city work.

The 1972 Fujinon is not a contrast performer. Wide open it's like looking through vaseline. Needs a lot of added contrast and sharpness in Photoshop.
The bokeh rings are bicycles and bicycle bells in the sun.
Actually drank this coffee cycling.

This collage was made entirely from magazine strips with a technique I call "painting with paper." I cut the paper into different shapes and layer them in such a way that they look almost like the brushstrokes in a painting.
