K Marie Designz original cuff bracelet. I used the raw brass "Five Inch! Filigree-Style Pierced Plaque for Manipulation" from B'Sue's along with the raw brass "Favorite Victorian Filigree" to make this cuff. I have my own patina process. I added a couple of stampings and Swarovski crystal flatbacks and 20mm Swarovski chessboard piece for the center in Golden Shadow color.
I use E6000 to glue everything together along with heavy clips you use to hold a thick stack of papers together.

Holly Van Sciver teaches this cuff in her Beds classes. I regret that my cuff wil not have a twin. It was a very interesting exercise. The center flower, for example does not have six spokes in the center, nor eight. It has seven spokes, just to add interest to the endeavor. I think the thing that made me think the most was how to start it. (Hint: It began in the lower right hand corner).

Rotator cuff surgery on April 26, 2012 --- saw the Doc today & learned that I will probably never be as I was pre injury. BUMMER!!!

Fashion has always been a major part of my existence. I like things to fit well and have glamour. the problem I encountered was that most off the shelf product lacked inspiration and taste. Also I have a difficult body type, therefore, finding clothing that is flattering is an adventure.
At the university, I majored in Theatre and minored in Fashion. I realized that the two go hand in hand. When one goes to a fashion show, most things are not street wearable but the inspiration is then taken another direction. I am that runway. My clothes are bold and vivacious, but can be tailored to fit the common man or woman. One cannot be taught taste, you either have it or not.

This isn't really valuable, nor is it all that unusual, but it has a story. It was given to my wife's grandmother by an admirer. He reamained her admirer even though she was married, even though he eventually married, and he remained her devoted admirer until the day he died. He used to hang around the house trying to be useful, sitting quietly at the kitchen table when she didn't have him cleaning out the coal bin or working in the garden. He deliberately ran over rabbits with his car so that he could take them home, cook them up, and bring them as treats for her dogs (one doesn't just wander about the English countryside shooting small animals). Goodness only knows what his wife and Lisa's grandfather thought about him spending his days waiting for Lisa's grandmother just to smile at him (I'm told she didn't often smile at all, and certainly not at him), but his children were none too pleased when he left her half his estate.
He won this cuff in the casino at Monte Carlo, where it had been left to help cover a gambling debt. There's much more to the story about Lisa's grandmother and her admirer, but not really about the cuff. It's just a reminder of an interesting and sort of sad bit of family history.
