This modern, trendy cuff is created entirely of scraps and upcycled materials!! Does that fabric look familiar? Well, considering iamthemandy materials are gathered from all over, it is totally possible it could have once belonged to you. Sewn from old fabric scraps, laces, threads and denims, this cuff wouldn't be complete without a vintage button closure. An elastic band wraps around the vintage button to strap the cuff to your wrist.
Cuffing Season is a time of year when young singles date to have someone to cuddle with during the cold months.
Dedicated in Josie's loving memory, we've worked together to create this personalized Sterling Silver cuff bracelet. Handstamped by us on the outside in our large font is "JOSIE" with two paw prints on either side. On the inside, we've handstamped "6 (dot) 22 (dot) 03" then two hearts overlapping symbolizing Josie and Ann's, followed by "3 (dot) 21 (dot) 11". Designed for a custom fit, we hope this special cuff bracelet is enjoyed. We are honored to make it.
Just finished the cuff. I thought I'd been knitting this on size 0 DPNs, but when I slipped it on my size 0 circulars, I realized I'd been knitting on either 1s or 2s. Don't have a sizer with me to check.
Increasing from 48 to 72 in the navy yarn only went smoothly -- just a matter of increasing once after every 2 stitches. I'm going to knit the rest on the size 0 circulars, just because I'll be more sure of the final size that way.

Cuff of first sock (what is the singular of hose, anyway?), as knitted on plane. The clip for the tray table works great to hold a pattern.
The Runaway Project commemorates active resistance to slavery in the antebellum period of the United States. Runaway slave advertisements actually carry rare information about those who struggled under slavery and the lives they led not available from any other source.
This project seeks to de-anonymize and commemorate the struggles and unique identities of the millions of people who struggled and eventually helped over turn legal slavery in the United States. It is a celebration of the individual and their courage and self-determination, also to preserve their stores so they did not live, die, or run in vain. A database for researchers and an e-book will follow.
