I felt like taking some more artistic and abstract photos lately. I found some interesting subjects in our greenhouse, such as this detail of a cucumber plant.
The first baby cucumber in the balcony garden. About an inch long together with the pretty flower hat.
Grown from seed in a container.
I think it's the short variety. I had two cucumber plants, one with short and the other with long cucumbers. One of the plants died and I don't remember which one it was.
With Oral Tentacles extended in tide pool at Rosario in Deception Pass State Park. Scientific name: Cucumaria miniata.
It has worked itself under the edge of a rock beside a sea anemone.

Next photo shows the sea cucumbers with tentacles pulled in.
Cucumber Falls in Ohiopyle State park in southwest PA.
I know I've posted these falls multiple times over the years, but given this park is one of our favorite places to hike and that the seasons provide us with different views, I enjoy heading to the falls on nearly every trip we make (3 or 4 times/year)
I spent an hour out this morning in a field of daylilies with my macro. Tiny cucumber beetles loved the flowers.
A kitty that lived on the farm kept me company [ see below].

A friend planted a green cucumber plant, yet it stays a beige colour. Tastes the same, but never turns green.
Can someone identfy this particular cucumber type?
When I called it a night Saturday night the plan was for a quite day at home Sunday catching up on things, as the forecast I saw earlier in the day was for rain on and off, but when we got up was a beautiful day so we headed off to Liberty state Park at about 9AM, with our bikes, what a lovely park, we rode all over it and around the outside a couple of times, was a great relaxing day, but am rambling and will get to that when I get around to working through the shots I got probably next weekend, lets get back to the shot I posted, this is a closer in shot of the lemonade bottle from the previous shot I thought was really cool, I processed it last night but decided in the end to post the shot of the lady and the bottles and wasnt going to post this but since I was a little sunburnt and worn out from a day cycling and didnt get to upload the shots onto my PC last night will post this now,

This image is of Cucumber Falls and the ice bowl at its base. I was surprised to see as much actual water flow that there was mixed in with all the ice. I thought it looked pretty cool. Literally huh?

These cucumbers are oval shaped and have green and yellow stripes on the outer surface. The inner flesh is juicy with many seeds.
Keep calm, is only a 4mm spider :D
Araniella cucurbitina, sometimes called the "cucumber green spider", is a spider of the family Araneidae. Females grow up to 6 millimetres (0.24 in), males only up to 4 mm (0.16 in). The spider is mainly found on forest clearings, where it weaves its orb-web between leaves and flowers. These webs are only about 100 mm (3.9 in) in diameter.
