I moved my cube across the hall, in preparation for that cube bank to be knocked down. Then I packed up my essentials so a support rep could take over my cube temporarily. I hope I left enough room. Now I'm in temporary digs in development, trying not to make noise.

Dash seems to have a good battery, the rest may need a new one. They take CR2032 coin cells.

How sad is this when a person spends 40 hours a week in a 6 X 8 Ft. area staring at a computer?
Well this is my home for 8 hours a day. I have had an office at one or two times in my career but lately it has been a walled in area commonly known as a cube.
I wonder who came up with that term. Maybe it should be called a cage, or cell, like in Jail Cell.
Using packing cubes makes it so much easier to keep your clothes in order when you’re living out of your suitcase for a few days.

hard drive has mechanical problems. disk warrior repaired it to the extent possible and it will boot now, but cannot really be used and needs to be replaced.

An object, a cube consisting of black cloth and some sort of wood, standing in one of the stairwells of a large shopping centre.Where it is standing it has no apparent meaning or use and resembles a minimalistic art object in a gallery space.
My brother called it, half jokingly, the black stone of Mecca.Maybe he is not so far from the truth : art is circled around by it's worshippers and spectators as do pelgrims in mecca.in that regard art can be considered a new kind of religion.But a religion not accesible for/to the masses.Countless efforts have been made to take art out of the museum/gallery space and bring it to the masses and all but some have failed.This new kind of religion behaves as a sort of cult of which only its members are initiated in its rites and rules and the intricacies of its language.Is this in order so that the members of this cult can set themselfses apart from these masses ? Distinguish themselves from the cultureless "barbarians" ?
In this new religion the wholy communion is not to consacrate the body of christ, but the touch of money.
Week 47
SELF PORTRAIT
Like many others in the group I am doing the 365days project so I wanted to try to put a little extra effort into my self portrait for the CWD group. I hope this cuts the grade - I realise that I need to learn so much more about photoshop. I am certain that I make my life much harder than it needs to be and I am not completely happy with the result but I am limited due to my photoshop skills (or lack of them) this is the closest I can get to what I had envisioned.
It might be best to view it large so you can see the hours I spent fiddling in photoshop to get the cube right :) LOL ok not hours but plenty of time.
A swarm of cubes after the Cube Project.
In a short period when the LEA AIR sims where free for a night and a day, i could test some more Cube swarms.
I didn't keep count but in total i used 7500 prims / 12 = 625 cubes = 5 x 5 x 5 x 5. Here you can see some images, but it would be better to film it, to see the behavior.
I used the swarm script of Apotheus Silverman.

I changed a few parameters and the behavior or state (flex or not flex)of the rootprim to get some control over the swarm.
Still every moment hundreds go off sim and end up in Lost an found folder.
The Cubes are 10m x 10m x 10m and each edge is formed by a 10 x 0.2 x 0.2 m Prim . The Swarm traveled over 2 sims (a sim is 256x256x4096m ) the day later it seemed they used all 20 sims :-) .
I guess the classics never go away. I can remember being in high school and messing with these cubes when they were new, now 30+ years later they are still around. Students today have the advantage of taking a photo of the cube and Photoshopping the color to make it look like they solved it, we had to just peel off the stickers and move them! :)
