Cube houses (Dutch: kubuswoningen) are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam. Their architect Piet Blom tilted the cube of a conventional house 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon. The houses are located on Overblaak Street, right above the Blaak metro station. There are 38 small cubes and two so called 'super-cubes', all attached to each other.
Close to the Old Harbour and a stone’s throw away from the Central Library, overlooking the weekly market, the thirty-eight cube houses provide an extraordinary variety due to the tilted impression made by the construction. The cube house has three floors with a living area of 100 square metres, with the third floor sometimes being used as a city garden.

Lots of people love squared circles so that made me wonder what a cubed spheres might be like. Well here is one quick look at the concept.
I want to pay this tribute to a wonderful woman (ZIBSKA), she is a great artist, full of creativity and good taste, she is my inspiration, everything she creates makes your imagination fly, thanks to her they give you the strength to continue doing good photos, I can only say... Zibska, thank you for everything, you are pure magic.
Image taken during a snow shower, shown here is Stuttgart's museum of modern and contemporary art a.k.a. Kunstmuseum Stuttgart. Built in 2005, it's an icon at the southwest corner of the Schlossplatz. I was finally able to get a good picture with no construction going on in the area.

The Cube Berlin is an office building at Washingtonplatz in Berlin built in the form of a perfect cube. Opened in 2020, the building is 42,5 high. Its glass facades reflect the surrounding areas at different angles.

Gestern war ich mal wieder in Berlin unterwegs. es zieht mich immer wieder zum Hauptbahnhof. Gestern war die Ausbeute jedoch nicht so groß - zwei Fotos vom Cube und dann der Heimweg. Ich finde es auch schade, dass Berlin scheinbar viel dunkler geworden ist - oder es ist der Sommer.
Auch wenn die Lichter der Stadt immer weniger werden, faszinieren die mich weiterhin
Der "Cube Berlin" am Hauptbahnhof in Berlin ist ein modernes Bürogebäude, das durch seine markante Architektur und innovative Technologien auffällt.
Das Gebäude wurde von dem dänischen Architekturbüro 3XN entworfen. Es zeichnet sich durch seine kubische Form und die gläserne Fassade aus, die dem Gebäude ein futuristisches und transparentes Erscheinungsbild verleiht.
Die doppelte Hautfassade besteht aus einer inneren und einer äußeren Glashülle, die nicht nur optisch beeindruckend ist, sondern auch funktional: Sie dient der natürlichen Belüftung und reduziert den Energieverbrauch.
Der Cube Berlin ist ein "Smart Building", das mit modernster Technologie ausgestattet ist. Ein digitales Netzwerk steuert verschiedene Funktionen wie Heizung, Kühlung, Beleuchtung und Sicherheit.Es ist ein Vorzeigebeispiel für moderne Architektur und intelligente Gebäudetechnik. Im Erdgeschoss gibt es Bereiche für Kunstinstallationen und Veranstaltungen, die der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich sind und das Gebäude zu einem lebendigen Teil des Stadtlebens machen.
Yesterday I was out and about in Berlin again. I'm always drawn to the central station. Yesterday, however, the yield wasn't so great - two photos of the Cube and then the way home. I also think it's a shame that Berlin seems to have become much darker - or it's the summer.
Even though the city lights are becoming fewer and fewer, they continue to fascinate me.
