The Clark Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge across the Mississippi River between West Alton, Missouri and Alton, Illinois. Named after explorer William Clark like the bridge it replaced, the cable-stayed bridge opened in 1994. It carries U.S. Route 67 across the river. It is the northernmost river crossing in the Saint Louis metropolitan area.
The new $85 million, 108-foot-wide bridge replaced the old Clark Bridge, which was only 20 feet wide. The truss bridge was built in 1928. The new bridge carries two lanes of divided traffic in each direction, as well as two bike lanes. The old bridge carried only two lanes (similar to the upstream Champ Clark Bridge). The bridge is sometimes referred to as the Super Bridge. Its construction was featured in a NOVA documentary entitled Super Bridge, which highlighted the challenges of building the bridge, especially during the Great Flood of 1993. Designed by Hanson Engineers under contract to Illinois Department of Transportation (DOT), the Clark Bridge was the first in the United States in which "such a light steel-framed cable-stayed design was combined with a cable saddle type of pylon." The bridge used 8,100 tons of structural steel; 44,100 cubic yards of concrete; and more than 160 miles of cable wrapped with four acres of yellow plastic piping. (source: wikipedia) View On Black

Really liked how this one came out...other than it getting a little grainy in the sky to the left. Not sure why. Either way...

He doesn't like walking over bridges at the best of times, I don't think he'd seen one with snow on before
Crossing the Delaware River for the second time in a few miles on it's journey out of Allentown, H76 heads north to Slatford Junction.
On the DFDS ferry MS 'Delft Seaways'.
Delft Seaways is a ro-pax ferry owned and operated by DFDS Seaways. She is the one of three sister ships designed for the cross-Channel route from Dover to Dunkerque, capable of making the crossing in one hour and 45 minutes. Delft Seaways is a Scandinavian designed ship built at the Samsung shipyards in South Korea in 2005. She sails under the flag of the United Kingdom and her port of registry is Dover.
I set up a shot down Hanover Street in Boston's North End with St. Stephen's Church (the gold dome) in the background. I used my beanbag and a traffic barrier for a tripod, but the first shot didn't work -- people crossing the street came out as blurs (like the guy on the left). I got ready to try again as soon as this girl and guy were out of the frame. But the girl -- who had been moving left to right -- suddenly turned and started walking straight toward me. I clicked the shutter and hoped for the best.
I posted a different version of this shot in 2006.

This shopping center was built in 2004. The site originally housed Tower Mall, which was built and opened in 1973 and was demolished in spring 2001.
Can't believe this crossing is still here back in 1990-92 we used to get the sheep over here and come over and feed them in winter, with a Subaru pickup.
At Sawmill Golf Course in Stillwater, Minnesota. I loved the tattered look of the sign. It almost reminds me of a barber's pole.
