Class 197 No. 197006 passes through Onibury level crossing on a Manchester Piccadilly Carmarthen service (1V44). The building on the right is the former Onibury station which closed in 1958 and is now a private residence.
CP 112 is crossing over at the western end of the AMT Dorval Station. CP 112 has about 160 cars and three GE's spread out throughout the train, with CP 9708 at the head end, CP 8896 mid-train and CP 8720 mid-train even further back. He is crossing over so that he can enter Lachine IMS in a couple of miles.

I had spent the night not far from Jonas Crossing. I was scheduled to be on the early boat out to the island this morning. My sleep was broken as a passing cold front moved through. It had rained on and off all night and the forecast had promised sunny cool days to come. As I approached the boat house or should I say boat shack, I could see a dock and a large white pine. They were mirrored in the incredible still waters. The early morning light was just beginning to show silhouettes. I could see movement in the shack. Seeing no boat, I opened the door and walked in. A bell attached to a rope, rang as it lowered itself and hit the floor, so much for my quiet entry approach. I stood at the counter and I was greeted by an older gentleman in well worn overalls. He was ready for the day to begin and kindly offered me what I would learn to be the equivalent to camp coffee. I welcomed the warm cup and enjoyed the stout brew. In just a matter of minutes I would come to learn that Jonas Crossing was named after this man’s father. It was certainly a family owned business and I could see the roots had been firmly planted many years ago. The schedule for the early boat out was lying on the counter and I paid the fare to the gray haired fellow. His hands were obviously a working man’s hands. Weathered and worn, his skin was forever darkened by a lifetime of dock and boat work. I could see through his eyes he was a proud man. He told me the boat would be loading in fifteen minutes and that myself and only one other passenger would be joining the captain to make the forty-five minute crossing to Oliver Island. I was offered another cup of the fine morning brew and was told that we would wait to load until the other passenger arrived. My senses were becoming more aware and awake…..
Isabella is an Animal Crossing inspired girl with the sweetest pastel tone. She's a genuine Takara Simply Mango based doll and she comes with everything you see in the photos. Including the cute little AC toys on her stand. I'll be sending her off very soon adn I hope she'll have lots of fun in her new home in Japan!
One of the rather substantial level crossing gates which once protected Barton Road in Bristol from the Avon Street branch. I think I read somewhere that there was an attempt to salvage the gates but that they disintegrated. Their solid appearance in 1993 would appear to belie that.

The Northampton-Market Harborough line looking north from Boughton Crossing on 1 July 1981. The Northampton and Lamport Railway has now restored the track to a point just the other side of where the signal box is in my picture, and a new station is now being built on the right hand side of the track here.
The Northampton-Market Harborough line was closed in August 1981, a few weeks after the date of my photo.

Shot it on Kodak BW400CN which is a black and white film but develops in colour chemicals.
I decided however to try and process it in Kodak D-76 b&w developer to see how it'll turn out and it did alright, actually :).
One of Pyongyang's infamous female traffic controllers. Instead of traffic lights, throughout Pyongyang and other cities in North Korea, traffic controllers stand in the middle of intersections directing traffic. In some locations, there are umbrellas for them to help beat the heat. In other locations, traffic lights have been installed, but are only used in cold weather or when it's dark out.
Pyongyang traffic ladies are quite elusive. They seem to be everywhere, yet, you're always in the tour bus driving by, never quite able to get a good shot. So famous are these traffic controllers, that on some tours, you might actually make a 5 minute stop just to take photos of one! Jackpot!

Rolleston Crossing hut by the Down line alongside Station Road level crossing at the west end of Rolleston railway station with Fiskerton Station Ground Frame signal box 1 signal (Distant Up Line) behind. Friday 7th April 1989
The level crossing gates were released by Rolleston Junction signal box 34 lever until 2nd October 1966 when Rolleston Junction signal box closed. The hut was replaced by portable building located diagonally across the level crossing, possibly in the 2000s
