The Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge is an arch bridge in the United States that spans the Colorado River between the states of Arizona and Nevada. The bridge is located within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area approximately 30 miles (48 km) southeast of Las Vegas, and carries Interstate 11 and U.S. Route 93 over the Colorado River. Opened in 2010.
At 890 feet (270 m) above the Colorado River, it is the second highest bridge in the United States after the Royal Gorge Bridge near Cañon City, Colorado.
Hoover Dam is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Nevada and Arizona. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression.

In the persistent rain of 3rd October 2016, 760mm gauge 0-8-0 tank 764-404R (built by Reghin in 1984) heads up the Moldoviţa valley towards Argel with an empty logging train, as a Romanian family head to town from their smallholding across a rudimentary bridge crossing the shallow Moldovita river at Rașca..

Class 73 No. 73966 heads the 20:45 (1M16) Inverness – Euston Scotrail Caledonian Sleeper service seen crossing Culloden Viaduct (also known also as the Nairn Viaduct) on the Highland Main Line, east of Inverness.

61306, "Mayflower", crosses the little photographed Chepstow girder bridge, working the St David's Day Cathedral Express 1Z61 London Paddington to Cardiff. No clag or sunshine I'm afraid but it's not every day you see a steam hauled passenger train crossing Brunel's bridge which still retains its original pillars and was considered to be one of his greatest engineering achievements.

With the water being low in the Sand River, elephants feed on the grasses in the middle of the river and then cross over to the other side to continue on their journey.
The Silver Jubilee Bridge crossing the River Mersey at the Runcorn Gap.
My dad once told me that I was one of the first members of the public to cross the bridge, on top of his shoulders, at the opening ceremony back in the sixties. Yep, I lived about half a mile away from this and I was 4 at the time so I don't have any real recollection of the event but it's funny how structures like this can become a significant and symbolic part of your life.

E Low Crossings Road can be found just south of Hallsville, MO. It is a nice place to add when chasing the COLT from COMO to Centralia
After a week with the family, I was anxious this past Thursday, to be able to get out for the afternoon with my camera and do a little communing with nature. The skies were still pretty overcast, but I decided to head down to the Cape May Point State Park and stretch my legs on the trails.
The swamp mallow is in bloom and made a lovely backdrop for these herons and ducks.
lol......why is it that the wildlife is ALWAYS on the other side of the pond from me??
