Lansing folk duo and newlyweds Bethany and Brandon Foote. Their musical project is Gifts and Creatures, and is absolutely heart-warming and amazing. They have a few shows coming up as well as an album dropping. Keep an eye out.
They will probably make you some juice if you ask them.

This is Lau!he's a basically blind motion sensor gaz filled onivore!with his sensitive whiskers he can sense vibrations, odors and even the taste of the particles afloating in the air...but the most peculiar thing about him is his ability to inflate hinself with a gaz lighter than the atmosfere...reducing his weight so to say...it's a living balloon!!!and although dificult he is domesticable!

I'm really pleased with this, it was my first attempt at making a sock creature and I was pleasantly surprised at the finished result. I'll definately be making more.
This was such a fun project (again!!) haha ^^
I got to do the face-up and bodyblush of Charles' Creatures Cabinet Fidelia Firefly, and she is so cute. I totally love her. Very tiny, very slender, and it was fun posing her. (ahum it's a lot of pictures I took and uploaden of her *^_^*)
Anyway, enjoy the photos.
Another drawing I'm working on. I always run out of paper and end up taping several sheets together.
Figure Asante, 1938
The National Museum of African Art
“The original owner, a twenty three year resident of Accra, commissioned this figure from the royal carver to the Asantehene in late 1938 or January 1939. She was told that this figure represents Sassabonsa. This creature lives in the forest and catches people who enter his territory. The details of the image - horns, bat wings, bent legs- suggest the influence of Christian depictions of the devil.”

There are a lot of Icondays to come so... if you want your character, or favourite object, or yourself as an Icon leave a message on by Dev-Page (it's free).
if you like this pic please fav it
This Icon was made using Illustrator, my bamboo, some sketching and a lot of coffee. everything in this project is vector based. (the shaddow is an "illustrator based" blur, and can be stretched since it became a vector gradiënt on saving.

NordArt 2023
