Hymenopus coronatus, also called H. bicornis, is a mantis from the rain forests of Southeast Asia. It is known by various common names including walking flower mantis and orchid mantis. This tiny creature is only about the size of my thumbnail!
This photographer was spotted during the early hours on that misty morning on Caddo Lake.
His presence added proper scale to the size of the Bald Cypress trees found there.
Hope everyone's Spring has sprung nicely & y'all are doing just fine......

Neighborhood Flower Gardens - Iowa
Beginning to notice these gentle creatures coloring the breeze above the flowers. Quiet, gentle and unassuming, they go about their business daily.
As our summer begins to fade, we will be blessed with many more circling the flower beds and gardens!
