Designed to be drawn in 5-15 minutes mostly medium and large patterns ($10, $15 and $20 sizing). Intermediate skill level.
Larger, more elaborate patterns than volume 1, a unique collection of contemporary bird designs blended with traditional Indian decorative elements. This wonderful collection will be hit at parties, festivals and group events.

We’re prototyping new ways to move animated creatures for our upcoming Haunted House with lower-school and middle-school students in our Maker Art class this fall.
In this after-school workshop, students will build a fantasy world together, with magical creatures, ghosts, witches and other animated characters inspired by Halloween.
To prepare for this class, my associate Sarah Brewer and I are prototyping an animated creature, using laser cut wood and cardboard to make it move up and down, as if flying.
This open-close mechanism was designed by maker HyunJoo Oh, who is working with PaperMechatronics.net. She has graciously shared their detailed instructions with us. Much appreciated!
We will combine arts and technology such as this to bring our class creations to life: each student will have their own room in our haunted house, and they will learn to build simple robots and automata like these, then play with lights and sounds to tell their stories for our ‘show and tell’.
We are offering this class in two different schools this fall. At the Lycée Français in Sausalito, we teach lower school students in grades 4 and 5, every Thursday at 3:30pm, from September 15 to December 8, 2016. At Tam High School, we teach middle school students in grades 6 to 9, every Wednesday at 3:30pm, from September 28 to November 16, 2016.
Students will create their own interactive art, in a playful way that makes learning more fun. Working collaboratively, they will make lights blink, sounds play and things move — bringing characters to life inside a cardboard ‘wonderbox.’

Today at photography class, my friend and I were talking pictures and suddenly there was a bunch of dogs came out of know where. My classmates and I got distracted so we decided to take pictures of dog. So I capture this little cutie. Can you believe she's only 8months old?!
Mariners have been enchanted by sea creatures since time began, and these four sea creatures will enchant you.
This series of -- so far -- four sea creatures is the "Whee!" series (a play on the word "wee").
I work first with a nib pen dipped in India ink, and then illuminate my drawings with glowing watercolors. These paintings measure 2" x 3" each.

Description: Kids create creepy creatures out of felt to scare their friends just in time for Halloween!
We’re experimenting with new ways to move animated creatures for our art projects and classes. Here’s a prototype of an animation stand I built with my associate Sarah Brewer, using laser cut wood and cardboard to make it move up and down, as if flying. My creative partner Jean Bolte is showing how we could add a pair of eyes to make the creature come alive.

Taken on a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC on 8/21/09.
We're having a holiday Creature Feature at Jingle Belles ... we're creating cards with a living creature on it:including reindeer, penguins, polar bears, moose, people, angels, elves... or, of course the most obvious Christmas-card presence ... Monstahs.
I used a tiny little holiday owl, a penguin and a reindeer (all from Hero Arts Merry Christams Ink 'N Stamp) on my Retro Sketch layout ... and I threw in a snowman for good measure.
Papers are from Echo Park's Holly Jolly Christmas with some teal twine & foam tape for dimension.
I'm also joining the October Holiday Card Challenge at Hero Arts.
