In deep winter, when my urge to pick up the camera goes dormant, I spend time purging my files of duplicates and bad exposures. I also like to re-edit old ones that promise a new flair. This is one of those.

Avant toute chose, prenez le temps d'ouvrir l'image, si vous voulez bien la comprendre.
En réalisant celle ci (et c'est ce qui m'a inspiré pour le titre), j'ai pensé a ce célèbre dessin animé, qui a du bercer l'enfance de beaucoup d'entre nous : "les chevaliers du zodiaque". Vous vous rappellerez tous du chevalier du dragon "Shiriu", qui arrivait a stopper puis a inverser le cours de la chute d'eau. Ici, l'idée est un peu similaire, on y aperçoit une petite silhouette qui arrive a stopper la puissante chute de Skogafoss.

Dans ce composite réalisé a partir de 6 images (ciel, champ, oiseaux en vol, oiseaux fixes, arbre feuillu, arbre mort), le printemps est présenté comme une illusion : L'arbre, que l'on pense recouvert de feuilles, n'est en fait qu'un arbre mort, recouvert d'oiseux qui prennent leur envol lorsque l'on s'approche de lui.

Nombreux d'entre nous on pu croiser ce lapin, certains sur des réseaux sociaux, d'autres on même réussi a le voir dans Paris et à l'approcher.
J'ai eu cette chance récemment, le temps d'un croquis, mais l'animal s'est échappé, et il court toujours !

I decided to mess around in Corel's Paint Essentials 6 and actually watch a tutorial and follow along.
Of course in the end, I did my own thing.
There are moments when a face tries to disappear, yet the truth refuses to hide. In this frame, a single eye breaks through the shelter of folded hands, holding a quiet storm of fear, strength, and unspoken thought. It is the look of someone caught between shielding themselves from the world and needing the world to understand. A portrait shaped by shadow, colour, and silence, a reminder that even when we cover our face, the soul still asks to be seen.
