Of course, when there is extreme sledding there will be extreme crashes. Don't worry. The Dashing Daring Danish Bunny Sled Team is trained on proper landings. (And they have a hot tub to soak in at night.)

Crash (Ballard tribute) @ Gagosian

This guy crashed while riding at a Sportbike Track Time "track day". You'll be happy to know that he was able to walk away from this one with only some bumps and bruises.

The final shot in this sequence www.flickr.com/photos/bigben1861/1348235431/ was posted in the Flickr Blog, and I realized that I had never posted the rest of the sequence...so her it is. I was using a Canon 1D MkII with 400mm f/2.8 + 1.4 TC (560mm equiv), which is why the crop keeps changing.

Lightning Crashes by Live

lightning crashes, a new mother cries

her placenta falls to the floor

the angel opens her eyes

the confusion sets in

before the doctor can even close the door

lightning crashes, an old mother dies

her intentions fall to the floor

the angel closes her eyes

the confusion that was hers

belongs now, to the baby down the hall

oh now feel it comin' back again

like a rollin' thunder chasing the wind

forces pullin' from the center of the earth again

I can feel it.

lightning crashes, a new mother cries

this moment she's been waiting for

the angel opens her eyes

pale blue colored iris,

presents the circle

and puts the glory out to hide, hide

Crash looking out over the North Canadian River.

Sometimes it all just goes wrong! This NSR400 has obviously had a mishap at the Broadford road race track.

On the roof of a Shell station in Touws River.

This poor young pigeon literally crash landed on top of the dog kennel one morning a few weeks ago. It really didn't look ready to be out so I assume it got disturbed from the nest in the conifers. I heard it crash from inside and as usual, was running late for work but managed to get a few pics of it.

When I got home it wasn't about, so thought a cat had maybe had it......BUT.....the next day I saw it again sat with a parent up on the stable roof.

I think its still around as theres usually a lone pigeon sat there most days, so I like to think its him :))

Another shot of the crash

A crashed Jaguar XJ-6 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2005 hill climb.

In the background, the line of riders that went under the falling Spanish rider is running out of room, and the Cuban rider has gone over the back wheel of an Australian girl. Shelly appears headed for disaster, and the coaches and officials in the turn are running for cover as the pileup heads towards them at 30+ mph.

The Cuban coach is watching his girl go hard to the track.

Plane crash, or lazy Toshiro cat?

"When Giants Crash" This Saguaro cactus which was about 15 -20 feet long (not all shown in photo) was laying on the ground on a cement slab floor left over from a torn down building. I tried a variety of ways to incorporate the building with the cactus and this is one of them. I selected some colorful bricks I found on the ground, and placed them on the cactus.

This shot was originally taken as a horizontal from above but I am used to seeing cactus upright. I put the image into HDR software to get the texture and then overlaid the results over the original. I toning down the hdr effect to 70%. I then took all the hdr effects out of the bricks bringing them back to the original look.

crash in front of college

This was my night. On the way to the 4J game night I rear-ended someone who was turning into their driveway. Pilgrim and myself were unhurt, and so was the person in the other car.

The woman in the other car didn't want the police officer to give me a ticket and he didn't. It was so unusual to encounter so many nice people at a scene like this. God really led me through it.

See where this picture was taken.

WTF happend here? damn, I think the driver, was blond....
