Any coursework requires that students do assignments . It is these coursework assignments which are added up together to give the student the final grade.

I still remember the time this piece took me (36 hours). This was the first outcome I produced for My A2 Coursework for Graphic Design. The idea was that there really wasn't anything I could aim at with Recycling, the campaigns and adverts I see today were all too soft, happy and cuddly. Which I believe, when it came to the public witnessing theses posters they would almost automatically disregard them. It was time for Recycling to get tough, and this is where I thought it should start, by having a man, completely made out of recyclable material looking into the camera. This poster became possible to the fact that I was able to warp and shape objects to the bone structure on my face. Then leaving the cricket ball as the eye, bright red to add that little extra scare factor the monster, that we have created by not recycling.

After writing an art essay based on fanzine culture, I decided to make the text into a zine itself. This is one page from the zine.

A high resolution still from a university 3D animation coursework.

Brief- capture an image that closely replicates the technical aspects such as lighting compared to the original while also being inspired by and clearly portraying the chosen Sin.

Focus on post production editing in photoshop.

Linear is about chocies and how those choices effect your path across the canvas or in life, it's about 1mX1m and I have used a mixture od acrylic and paster paint. I has been heavly infulenced by Gerhard Richters work as you can see from the squeege techniques that I have used.

AS PHOTOGRAPHY COURSEWORK PROJECT – 7 DEADLY SINS

The initial starting point of my coursework project began after seeing a series of images that were based on a theme of the 7 deadly sins. The creative aspects of the extensive shoot immediately captivated me and gave me ideas and inspiration; I started with background research into the images such as the photographer who captured them and the creative aspects that are included. I think that the project was incredibly successful as I put phenomenal amounts of planning and preparing for the shoots with features such as booking the studio and constructing the wooden coffin the models would be shot in. alongside the technical aspects of having my camera suspended from the ceiling of the studio and the use of the studio lighting to its best ability. Before I even began my theory and practical side of the project I already knew the plan and structure I wanted to follow; this included following the specific assessment brief and criteria mark schemes and my own structure of project to create a sustained interesting and documented project that shows the development in my photographic skills. I feel that the creative side of the project was the best part as the sins are clearly seen and able to be understood. Areas that I think were less successful were the photo shop editing. I feel that the editing looked rough in some of the images that I produced and I feel that if I did the project again I would focus on the improvement of my photo shop skills. In some of the images the lighting isn’t of the best quality it could have been and sometimes details within the photos are not correctly lit. Other aspects I would want to improve upon would be the studio set up, the whole project was shot in the studio and if I did the project again I would experiment outside the studio using locations that blend well and emphasise the Sin being portrayed. I would also improve my theory elements of the project, more documentation of the studio set up would be displayed within my project portfolio. For the whole project I shot looking down onto the model from a high level, if I were to change this technical element I would experiment with different angles and compositions of the images to create more variety and interesting photos but still capturing the creative theme so that it can be clearly distinguished.

- Inspired by tiger stripes, I fancied doing something rather unique.

For my classwork, using felt_tip_felon's light box, a box of straws, some crayons, and 2 flashguns! (plus 2 assistants!!!)
