Part of my art coursework on "The Power of Humans" - energy consumption and conservation.
Affordable energy at the flick of a switch is something that most of the world has come to take for granted. Rising energy consumption, which increases global warming drastically, is something we all really need to avoid. My parents are huge on saving energy, so I've kind of had this drilled into my head for a while now :P
This shoot was fun, though I had to sort out all the bulbs into the correct packets afterwards, which was a nightmare!
6 days until Aaron!! Only six!!! :D Today I bought Zoolander so we can watch it together while I am there, as well as lots of new clothes and some new perfume so I can have a memory smell when I am there! When Aaron was here he always chewed this orangey flavoured gum and I nabbed a piece before he left, so now when I get lonely I chew a bite and it reminds me of him.

Photography coursework project. These are my final images for my photography A Level coursework. And then I am done with the course! I feel like I should move on from macro nature now though I feel it is too safe.

Yep, bye from me and Barney for a few days... I have loads of coursework due in at the end of this week so, I'm going to be REALLY busy for the next few days... I'm going to stay away from Flickr completely for a few days, till the weekend, it's just too distracting! I'm not too worried about getting it all finished on time but it's best not to have too many distractions :) Also, the internet connection at university seems to be particularly bad at the moment... which doesn't help, and is making everything, commenting etc take longer than normal :(
Anyway, I hope you all have a fantastic week and I'll catch up with everyone at the weekend, when I don't have quite so much work to do and when, (hopefully) the internet is working better. I won't be on that much over the coming weeks though as exams start at the end of May, so revision has to begin soon!!
* Thanks for all the comments everyone, very much appreciated!! I'm back on Flickr again, the internet is much faster... and I've now got my coursework done, it's all handed in and I'm a lot less stressed :) Just revision to do now...

We had a big coursework hand-in today at uni and if I didn't feel shattered before, I certainly do now. So, to show how far I've come, but how far I still have to go...here are the stairs in our department.

Hi all! Hope you're all well?!
Had a nice day yesterday, took a sort of day off, had just handed in a coursework on Monday and then starting a new project today so thought i'd just take it easy.
After breakfast I decided to head over to Salford quays as there was a nice sky, it was fairly windy too so looked good to get some long exposure shots! By the time i'd got ready (had to give the camera a quick charge, oops!) and actually got there the cloud had thickened up to a greyish blanket with little spells of clear so it was a game of timings!
Spent a few hours there wandering around, getting different angles and waiting for the clouds to break a bit. It started raining quite heavily so i went in for a bit and had a wander around, really great museum and the best thing is, its free! Came out to a clearer, drier sky so kept shooting. A lot of shots were ruined when the sun popped out mid exposure and the metal cladding gets incredibly bright so they just blew out quite badly. Good thing I took so many heh?! :P After this angle it started raining again, and raining HARD. Decided to call it a day and packed up quick smart to head back to the tram stop. Got DRENCHED on the way back. Luckily by bag is pretty much waterproof so everything was nice and dry except me. Nothing more horrid than wet denim eugh... Was planning on getting some LE of the Lowry too but that will have to wait for another day now.
Took about 50 long shots all together but this was the best of the bunch I think, quite happy with the composition.
Unfortunately my sensor isn't the cleanest and despite a good blow from the puffer there was still a fair bit which made the processing stage take several hours but I wasn't too fussed as I was quite happy with my shots for the day so it was sort of the icing on the cake really. I think some of the shots had about 40 spot removal brush actions by the time i'd finished! I'll definitely have to post up some more of them sometime I think.
New project starts today, oddly enough to do with deconstructionism so this shot ties in quite nicely, the museum was produced from the shards of a globe shattered by conflict and pieced back together.
