After a fantastic wedding day, honeymoon and then a manic week at school with another Ofsted inspection and GCSE Coursework deadline, I have decided to get back on the flickr trail with an image that I composed last weekend. Waking up at 5.00am, I slipped out of the house, got in my car, and sped west along the A50 to one of my poppy hotspots at Ingleby. This is an area that almost guarantees poppies every year - though they never re-appear in the same fields two years running. The sun was already gaining quite a bit of strength and burning the mist in the Trent Valley beyond this field. The sun's brightness was such that I decided to half position it behind the tree branches to diffuse the light, yet also take advantage of the backlighting on the poppy heads. A 0.9 hard ND grad held in the colour of the sky and helped to enhance the silhouette of the trees.
Part of my art coursework on "The Power of Humans" - energy consumption and conservation.
Affordable energy at the flick of a switch is something that most of the world has come to take for granted. Rising energy consumption, which increases global warming drastically, is something we all really need to avoid. My parents are huge on saving energy, so I've kind of had this drilled into my head for a while now :P
This shoot was fun, though I had to sort out all the bulbs into the correct packets afterwards, which was a nightmare!
6 days until Aaron!! Only six!!! :D Today I bought Zoolander so we can watch it together while I am there, as well as lots of new clothes and some new perfume so I can have a memory smell when I am there! When Aaron was here he always chewed this orangey flavoured gum and I nabbed a piece before he left, so now when I get lonely I chew a bite and it reminds me of him.

Yep, bye from me and Barney for a few days... I have loads of coursework due in at the end of this week so, I'm going to be REALLY busy for the next few days... I'm going to stay away from Flickr completely for a few days, till the weekend, it's just too distracting! I'm not too worried about getting it all finished on time but it's best not to have too many distractions :) Also, the internet connection at university seems to be particularly bad at the moment... which doesn't help, and is making everything, commenting etc take longer than normal :(
Anyway, I hope you all have a fantastic week and I'll catch up with everyone at the weekend, when I don't have quite so much work to do and when, (hopefully) the internet is working better. I won't be on that much over the coming weeks though as exams start at the end of May, so revision has to begin soon!!
* Thanks for all the comments everyone, very much appreciated!! I'm back on Flickr again, the internet is much faster... and I've now got my coursework done, it's all handed in and I'm a lot less stressed :) Just revision to do now...

YAY!!! On the 28th (Saturday - yes SATURDAY) I went into college and finished!!! I have been working super hard all week, sadly too busy for Revel to finish off the work.
But now I'm done for weeks... YAY!! Me and Revel will have so much fun together this summer :))
We had a big coursework hand-in today at uni and if I didn't feel shattered before, I certainly do now. So, to show how far I've come, but how far I still have to go...here are the stairs in our department.
Sorry for the lacking commenting recently - things are very hectic at the moment.
hiya lovelies,
this is just some developmental work for my coursework.. a response to Francesca Woodman and her long shutter speeds/ obscurity. Also very inspired by Beth's recent upload which is about a zillion times better than this.
let's just ignore the fact i forgot to take my socks off, you're lucky i bothered to get out of my pyjamas okay.

much love to you all <3
i hate this so much now aagh
i like it again now hahah
Concept idea for coursework ...I like that both man and nature have defaced the sign - nature , somewhat ironically has rusted and weathered it with water whereas man has defaced it with graffiti - much like he has done to nature herself .
I'd appreciate your comments and feedback :)
