We finally caught it on camera. Little weasel usually cheats and jumps from 3 to 10, especially when he thinks he's getting something when he reaches 10.

As I post this, we have a fierce windstorm- the wind is roaring down from the mountains at 80km and more....
I have been watching 'lambing live' on tv over the past few evenings, the way to tell how old the sheep is, is to count the teeth which grow in two's on the bottom gum only ..up to eight and then the full set..makes this ewe 3 ..baaa !

The counting house is on swan bank, congleton, Cheshire. This was originally a bank, before being converted to a pub, many years ago, it's very popular with locals, and it's one of Wetherspoons group of pubs
Taken at 3 meters from the thistle - it is a great food plant for many insects. Many of which I just couldn't see at that distance. Count them.

We heard that the 'dig' in Angel Meadow would be open to the public for one day. As both our familes lived or worked around here in the 1800s we felt we ought to go.
Archeology in the UK is now part of the planning process and any new building plan is inspected to see if there are likely to be interesting remains beneath. As this site belongs to the Coop Society, which was established to help the working poor they decided to open the site to the public. It was fascinating.
