Silvretta pass, Austria. The easiest way to the pass is by car, as you can see. Too many, unfortunately, especially in summer. Most people stay in the restaurants or have a quick look at the lake, before driving further. However, when you walk 10 minutes from the parking spot, the only thing you see and hear is nature. And nature around this lake is magnificient!

Counting days, counting days
Since my love up and got lost on me
And every breath that I've been takin'
Since you left feels like a waste on me
I've been holding on to hope
That you'll come back when you can find some peace
'Cause every word that I've heard spoken
Since you left feels like an hollow street
I've been told, I've been told to get you off my mind
But I hope I never lose the bruises that you left behind
Oh my lord, oh my lord, I need you by my side
There must be something in the water
'Cause everyday it's getting colder
And if only I could hold you
You'd keep my head from going under
Maybe I, maybe I'm just being blinded
By the brighter side
Of what we had because it's over
Well there must be something in the tide
I've been told, I've been told to get you off my mind
But I hope I never lose the bruises that you left behind
Oh my lord, oh my lord, I need you by my side
There must be something in the water
'Cause everyday it's getting colder
And if only I could hold you
You'd keep my head from going under
It's your love I'm lost in
Your love I'm lost in
Your love I'm lost in
And I'm tired of being so exhausted
Your love I'm lost in
Your love I'm lost in
Your love I'm lost in
Even though I'm nothing to you now
Even though I'm nothing to you now
There must be something in the water
'Cause everyday it's getting colder
And if only I could hold you
You'd keep my head from going under
There must be something in the water
'Cause everyday it's getting colder
And if only I could hold you
You'd keep my head from going under

Gisteren nog even aan het spelen geweest met filters en langere sluitertijden. Het waster was best wel laag wat mogelijkheden geeft met keien. Even wachten op wat golven van een passerend schip en tellen maar.

With the beautiful & majestic, volcanic Mt. Baker in the background. Mt. Baker is located in Washington, USA.
You may recognize the lone board paddler and his dog from previous photographs. See below photo:

The board paddler and his faithful companion are a common sight at White Rock.
I am always both amazed and impressed by their balance.
They travel together, mastering some of the most challenging waves. The temperature of the seasons never seems to deter their efforts.
The BNSF Railway line passes through White Rock along the beach before turning north around Ocean Park and Crescent Beach.
The spectrum of colors we enjoy in Nature can be infinite. The hues, the depth and the richness in the combinations we witness don’t go unnoticed. Whether the colors are in a sunrise or a sunset, in the colorful leaves of a warm sunny Autumn day or the freshest of flowers on a Spring morning, when enjoying these colors let’s remember too that, “Softness Counts.” Softness can almost be felt within a given presentation. Thanks for viewing my work.
As I wait in anticipation for Spring to arrive, I can almost smell the fragrance of sweet peas. "Here are sweet peas, on tiptoe for a flight; With wings of gentle flush o'er delicate white, And taper fingers catching at all things, To bind them all about with tiny rings."

Corvus is a widely distributed genus of medium-sized to large birds in the family Corvidae. The genus includes species commonly known as crows, ravens, rooks and jackdaws; there is no consistent distinction between "crows" and "ravens", and these appellations have been assigned to different species chiefly on the basis of their size, crows generally being smaller than ravens.
In Europe, the word "crow" is used to refer to the carrion crow or the hooded crow, while in North America, it is used for the American crow, fish crow, or the northwestern crow.
Recent research has found some crow species capable of not only tool use, but also tool construction. Crows are now considered to be among the world's most intelligent animals with an encephalization quotient equal to that of many non-human primates.

I'm on a quest to document how many different birds I see while out and about. These aren't Nat Geo quality shots necessarily, just records of what I see. By different, I mean the different species, of course, but also the males and females of a species if they are substantially different. Also, if a species has major /obvious colour variations, I'll count them as 'different' as well.
...Lately I’ve been, I’ve been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things that we could be
But baby I’ve been, I’ve been prayin' hard
Said no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars
Yeah, we'll be counting stars...

Quiet winter day ... stopped by a local farm to see the sheep gathering in the snow, they were not quite sure about my presence
Lately, I've been, I've been losing sleep
Dreaming about the things we could be
But baby, I've been, I've been praying hard
Said, no more counting dollars
We'll be counting stars
Yeah, we'll be counting stars..
