I had a lovely relaxing day today sitting at a friends house watching the fountain & all the birds coming to slash around...
Ice cold vodka sweating in a 'cool' shot glass with 'cool' blue food coloring starting to blend...
Happy Macro Monday everyone! :D
Shot outside in bright sunlight.
There's a charity bake sale today so I made my tea loaf. it needs to cool for an hour before coming out of the tin.
My wife is a professional photographer and model. Today while she was at work, I snuck into her studio, borrowed her camera & tripod, and took a few shots outside. Playing with some depth of field coz I love that look...is it okay? Nik's so much better at this than me!
just for lulz. and trying out the VRW logo for the first time
its not a complete recreation since i did make up some of the parts partially, like the silencer and the handgaurd. Which is like a cross between the CASV and the Daniel Defence free float bolting system
lol i dunno, it just looks cool :)
credit davidman for some of the lettering
and to VRW team for the mag, and logos.

My previous shots at Denver Botanic Gardens showed clean, dark water. After I threw in the reverse shot at Longmont's Golden Ponds where the water was not so clean this summer when upkeep was up to nature, I included this older shoreline shot of the pond water. Warning placards were all over. Our news about blue-green algae, not orange-man algae, was everywhere. Denver cleaned up their geese problem and provided food for the poor. The Golden Ponds in Logmont are well fertilized by the goose poo and grew vast amounts of water goo this year. At least the geese fertize land and water until it can be paved and sterilized with concrete and asphalt toward the goal of total global warming. Sensible growth in Longmont? We can't afford any growth at all in the velley!
I found duck food around shore this August. The wealth of new life around this place shows that a new generation of water fowl (fouling) has sprouted at Golden Ponds Park at Largemont, Colorado. The river level is now coming down as the serious summer heating and resident high pressure settles in and moved very slowly because we ruined the jet stream. Oh well, we can all hide in air conditioning so long as we can throw the electric power away and burn more fossils.
The ponds' water plants thrived around the shores throughout summer. The weather quit bouncing back and forth in the valley with our slide into record winter. Mid-westers and Eastern Trump Grumpers poopoo global warming but here we are.
I found this in my stash from a recent walk around Golden Ponds and thought it would fit in right here, It really signalled the heavy spring greenup after the big wet which dried up this fall.
I was at Golden Ponds Park at Largemont, Colorado and I was with the normal zoom lens on my camera, good for some tighter riparean shots and growth.
Here are all my Cool Times barbie from 1988. This is one of my favourite barbie doll lines of all times! Now I only miss Barbie and Ken and the collection will be completed.
Ed ecco le mie barbie Cool Times del 1988. Questa è una delle mie linee barbesche preferite in assoluto. Ora mi mancano solamente Barbie e Ken per completare la collezione.

The outside temp was 41 but we braved the cold to reach the tent to do water aerobics. I think it terribly cool to get to do this in January!
