Ah, the house smelled so good today - it smelled like lefse. We cooked the dough that I showed from yesterday. The bubbles get popped by the lefse flipping stick that we use to turn the pieces. The bubbles (or what was left of them) form the traditional brown spots that you find on good lefse. The kitchen was COVERED in flour today, as were the lefse rollers.

 

In our family, lefse is like gold. We've been known to count the pieces that everyone else at the table has eaten to ensure that no one has eaten more than others.

 

Of course, there was some...sampling...going on today - some pieces just weren't of high enough quality to be put away with the rest of the pieces. They served their brethren well and went into our stomachs.

I was cooking. When I looked up triptych photos I liked the cooking ones so I re created it. This was a little challenging because I took these pictures while actually cooking the food. But I liked how they all came together as a whole and made a great photo

For our son's Spanish homework, he had to help cook an authentic Hispanic dish to serve in class and have it documented photographically. I had him help me make Chicken Pozole. He did pretty well helping and it tasted great as always. He might just be suited to work in my future bakery.
