on the day I forgot to push the cook button on the rice cooker

.. i truly understands the meaning of it while staring down at the forever-lighted "cook" button waiting for the rice to be cooked

while a table stood full of delicious dishes already started to get cold...

One of the coolest things we have done is to start cooking. I found myself well into my thirties without any idea of nutrition and without the ability to cook anything. On the recommendation of a friend - I start using cookbooks from America's Test Kitchen. They experiment with recipes 50 different ways until they come up with something that tastes good and that anybody can make.

And it works. We made potato salad first and it turned out to be the best I had ever tasted. I couldn't believe that we actually made it. We were hooked and now have eight of their books and use them for everything. Years later we now make all kinds of food including our own salad dressing and bread. It never ceases to amaze me and I think of it every time we reach the bottom of another spice bottle.

Wonderful Wednesday to you my friend. Food brings people together.

AleyKat's Discord group (join here discord.gg/zSv9qMQc) has been not only a constant source of giggles but also a source of inspiration. A few days ago, in between tea and cookies, the GIF-spamming... erm, conversation, that is, ended up being about a famous British food writer, TV presenter, and cook, who served as my inspiration today. And the KraftWork, SKVOST, and Zaker gacha collections at the current round of The Arcade were all I needed to bring it to SLife.

Next day, next round

"Hey everyone! Today I'll be showing you all how to make a deliciously simple salad made of fresh LEGO bricks greens, cheese, croutons, tomatoes, and any ordinary salad dressing! The first thing you'll want to do is locate all of your ingredients. I prefer to use homemade croutons, but store-bought ones are fine too. When I cut up my greens, I make sure to leave a little extra for my pet rabbit, but if you don't have one, don't bother. Once you have all of your ingredients, find a large mixing bowl and toss it all together. Once you're finished tossing, you can take your finished salad and go share some with your friends!

So yeah, the description may not be 100% serious, but it works :P

Here's a first for us: a character larger than minifigure scale!

The figure itself was largely inspired by some of Ochre Jelly's awesome figures, and that's how the entire concept started!

For Category 25: Just teach it! in the MocAthalon. In this case the "subject matter" is cooking :)

Since we are under quarantine, we decided to eat healthy and to enjoy the time cooking.

I know that a lot of re-ment collectors are strongly opposed to Disney re-ment, but while I do agree that there should be a good mixture of sets with and without Disney collaboration, I must say that the Stitch cooking set contains a lot of really cute and detailed pieces. Everyone who liked Stitch even a little bit should give it a try in my opinion ;)
