A Westie chef giving cooking lessons to his friends.
Prompt: Whimsical, ultra-detailed digital illustration of a lively kitchen scene where animals are preparing a feast. At the center, a fluffy West Highland White Terrier (Westie) wearing a tiny chef’s hat stands proudly beside a lively Schnauzer with its characteristic beard. Around them, a colorful variety of animals—including cats, dogs, and even a parrot—gather as helpers. The table is covered with fresh ingredients: bright tomatoes, garlic, pumpkin, olives, basil, nuts, and a freshly baked pizza topped with vibrant vegetables. Cooking utensils, jars, and spices line the background shelves under warm kitchen lighting. The scene feels joyful, humorous, and heartwarming, full of teamwork and playful charm.
Style: Whimsical, Pixar-inspired 3D digital art, ultra-detailed, vibrant.
Mood: Cheerful, humorous, heartwarming. Lighting: Bright indoor kitchen lighting with warm highlights.
Color Palette: Rich reds, greens, yellows, natural wood, fluffy whites, and soft grays.
Aspect Ratio: Horizontal.

This is a small local workshop where pig blood is prepared for delivery to the shops and restaurants in central Bangkok. This specific workshop is over 80 years old and uses the same cooking method as in the old days. There are large wood fired vats where the blood is cooked and prepared. It’s really like a bygone era. The only light available is from a hole in the roof, and the burning wood fires.

One of the coolest things we have done is to start cooking. I found myself well into my thirties without any idea of nutrition and without the ability to cook anything. On the recommendation of a friend - I start using cookbooks from America's Test Kitchen. They experiment with recipes 50 different ways until they come up with something that tastes good and that anybody can make.
And it works. We made potato salad first and it turned out to be the best I had ever tasted. I couldn't believe that we actually made it. We were hooked and now have eight of their books and use them for everything. Years later we now make all kinds of food including our own salad dressing and bread. It never ceases to amaze me and I think of it every time we reach the bottom of another spice bottle.
Wonderful Wednesday to you my friend. Food brings people together.
Cooking programs always show you the glamorous side of the dish, along with how easy it is to just add the lovely ingredients and walaah........It's so "Tasty and Good". Why do they ignore the fact that cooking is messy and the clean-up worse? No it doesn't just take 20 minutes to prepare. I'm making cole slaw for 20 for a big family meal this evening.
