The New York Times Chocolate Chip Cookie, but with chocolate chunks from a coarsely chopped Trader Joe's "Pound Plus" bittersweet chocolate bar.
Bella and Amanda made cookies the other day. They made them from scratch with the easiest peanut butter cookie recipe. 1 cup peanut butter, 1 egg, 1 cup sugar. Mix. Bake at 350 (if they are all the same size) for 10-12 minutes or until done.

Finally replaced the lid I broke. The cookie jar is older than I am, but about 10 years ago I broke the lid. Just recently found another jar in an antiques shop and bought the whole thing to get the lid. Left the lidless jar there so I wouldn't have to worry about finding yet another lid!

I make up a bunch of cookie dough and then freeze it as individual cookie balls, ready to be cooked. That way I don't eat several dozen cookies at once and I can pull out some fresh baked cookies as needed.
I got these from Red Moon Vietnamese restaurant in Los Angeles about a year ago. These are two fortunes, scanned front and back. Top two belong on one strip in the cookie, the bottom two belongs to the other strip of paper. Does anyone else see an encoded message in these?
A batch of dairy-free oatmeal peanut butter cookies cools on the counter. Jen baked the cookies today to bring a little sweetness to an otherwise difficult day.

I never forget this talk with my friend Magnus in Sweden:
Me: "Magnus, why don't you lock your bike?"
Magnus: "You know Patrik, I would like to educate people."
Me: "What do you mean?"
Magnus: "Simple. By not locking my bike I give everyone the good feeling that you just can leave your bike unlocked. Me included. I educate trust."
Me: "But it is an expensive Bike, what happens if someone takes it?"
Magnus: "Well, then it was a luxury teaching lesson but it will never cost then the price of a new bike. I prefer to pay this price instead of living in fear"
I always wanted to do something so brave like my friend Magnus. So I thought I start with cookies first :)
The Bergen Cookie Dream is a very relaxed Social Business. It is a Social Business because its goal is not profit maximization but to improve something in society. In this case make people in Bergen feel more comfortable in their neighborhood and to actively promote trust. And it is very relaxed because it is just about cookies really.

Recipe from Post Punk Kitchen. Another very easy to make cookies. This time, the flavour is contributed by pumpkin puree and the spices. It's a nice chewy cakey cookie that fits the description of a classic oatmeal raisin cookies. It actually closely resembles a pumpkin loaf (quickbread) both in terms of taste, texture, and cooking method.
I forgot to flatten the cookies before baking and thus had to flatten them immediately upon removing from the oven. Unfortunately, I think I underbaked them just a tad.
I leave for Galveston, 6am tomorrow.
We baked dinner.

Cookies for my colleague who announced she is pregnant. I had some round cookies left from another project and thought they'd be great for a small gift.
I'm not too happy about the green colour though, but I didn't have enough ingredients to make a new batch of RI.
The cookies are pecan cookies with RI.
