Jet contrail as seen from Withrow Park in Riverdale, Toronto. Jets take off from Pearson International Airport to the west of the city, and we normally see those flying to Europe or other points eastward. Camera was hand held; tripod really needed for this kind of thing.

Contrail and sunlight coming from the clouds, near Belas Knap earthwork.

This was near sunset. The contrail from the Jet cast a shadow on the Cirrus clouds above, probably indicating that the Cirrus was well above 10,000 metres. I've only seen this a few times.

Airplane contrails in the sky, one airplane made a turn before landing in Beldringe airport nearby, now known as H.C. Andersen Airport.

This morning was unique in the sense that the clouds suspended above the contrail with a low to the horizon sun casting a shadow of the contrail onto the higher clouds. I've been waiting to get the chance to shoot similar atmosphere again.
