A continuous lap is confusing for many people. And pattern diagrams and directions aren't always easy to understand. Once you conquer this continuous lap the next will be easier. I have the pattern so I snapped a couple pics of this part of the pattern for everyone's benefit so they can see what you're having an issue with--the continuous lap.
Diagram 13 shows your two back skirt pieces sewn together to the dot. You will clip into the seam allowance by that dot. Clip up to the dot but not past it. This clipping will allow you to stretch open the part of the two skirt pieces that you did not sew together. Pull them open so they form a straight edge as pictured in diagram 14. Pin pattern piece #9 (it's the continuous lap piece) to this straight opening -- right sides together and sew. Diagrams 15 and 16 are of this stretched open straight edge with the continuous lap sewn on once. After sewing it on, you will fold it over that seam allowance, fold under the edge and sew across the edge you folded under--shown in diagram 16.

Twelve of us stayed for the relay from 4 pm until around 8 am walking in pairs continuously through the night to raise money for Cancer research into leukaemia. RIP my Dad and brother who both died from this form of cancer
Continuous use has preserved this adobe, the only early two-story adobe in the Santa Clara Valley. A small one-story adobe built in 1837 was enlarged in 1849 by Don Raimundo Olivas, a prosperous cattle rancher.

While micro-services are all the rage, they need to be approached with caution. Using the techniques of evolutionary architecture, coupled with continuous delivery, allows for the micro-services architecture and its companion data architecture to evolve.

Ledstjärnan, Latvia
Star of Hope has been supporting the special school "Ledstjärnan" for the mentally challenged children since the 1990’s in Latvia. 28 children with special needs come to the school every day. Special buses with special handlers pick them up at home. These special schools mean a lot to the children and their parents. The parents can work and they know that their children are in very good hands and get educated.
Each class at Ledstjärnan has only 4 children in each classroom with two teachers. Star of Hope and Ledstjärnan 1995 introduced this system. In year 2005 this system with small classes and pick up service for children with special needs became standard at most schools for mentally challenged children in Latvia.

These designs were based on blind continuous line drawings I did of Oxford's doors and windows on my journey to work on the bus.
I thought the line drawings resembled Bethlehem so converted the line drawings into designs for Christmas Cards.
